PRODUCT AND PICTORIAL LOG #3
Exploring the art of Night Fishing
Date: March 10, 2017
Time: 8 PM-10 PM
Activity: My facilitator and I discussed the art of night fishing.
Commentary: Shortly after my 18th birthday celebration on the 10th of March, my father, my facilitator, and myself sat in the living room for post-supper socialization. During which, my facilitator and I discussed the topic of night fishing, which is what my product is designed for. As dad ran his cigars across under his nose with no intention of smoking one, my facilitator agreed on certain advancements in fishing technology that would make night fishing easier and certain adjustments to my rod. Such as glow-in-the-dark line. This is the kind of line the reel will always be equipped with.
Replacing the Line
Date: March 8, 2017
Time: 8 PM-9 PM
Activity: My facilitator and I decided to replace the day line on the rod with night line.
Commentary: Night line for fishing is a special type of line. This line glows in the dark allowing the fisherman to spread a light to the bait for the fish to see. This line makes fishing for bass and catfish in a golf course pond at midnight a lot easier than with regular line. Since my product is designed for night fishing, this special line makes a vital contribution to the development of my product and my overall Senior Project.
Replacing the Screws on the Reel
Date: March 3, 2017
Time: 4 PM-5 PM
Activity: My facilitator and I agreed that replacing the screws in the reel of my product would increase its efficiency of casting.
Commentary: Examining my reel during its disassembly, I noticed the side screws were a bit small and loose. Having loose screws can be a fisherman's worst nightmare. Having a reel fall apart during cast off was exactly what I was attempting to avoid. So, my facilitator and I agreed to replace the screws in the reel with larger and tighter screws.
Planning of Action
Date: March 11, 2017
Time: 8 PM-10 PM
Activity: My facilitator and I discussed and review the my Senior Project.
Commentary: On Saturday night of March 11, following supper, my Senior Project facilitator and myself sat in the living room discussing my product. We both agreed that my Senior Project has been tough. We reviewed what we had completed, what we may have done incorrectly, and what we did properly. This being all down to the fact that my Senior Project has been successful. Which was the majority of our conversation. We laughed, joked, and carried on. This serious moment came when we made the assumption that there would be possible readjustments to make. These readjustments to either my product or Senior Project in general. To counter the assumptions, we went over my product one final time and saw that it was satisfactory and meet everything I said it would.
