Hello class of 742!! UNR!!
Let's Discuss Student
School Year 2017 - 2018
AP Environmental Science
9th and 10th grade
Please note: The reasons for your assessment will be approached modeling the scientific method.
Problem: Why do we need assessments?
Whenever we use the scientific method, we start by asking a question. We also bring to the question any previous knowledge we have gained through life experience and schooling. This knowledge includes: grades in schools exist, goals of learning need to be achieved, feedback gives value to time spent
Besides measurements and observations, data is collected by definitions and assessment. The word assess is, according to Merriam Webster, to officially say what the value of something is. Assessment is the final result of accumulated data.
Here we will develop our hypothesis, or form a tentative answer to our problem, by using quantifiable data. So, why do we need assessments? One possible answer is that the administration requires them for school funding. Another is that assessments can let our class know what we may need to restudy. Our hypothesis will be formed by predictions and reasoning of quantified data.
Experiments and Peer Reviewed Data
Many teachers, myself included, believe that students prefer to know what is expected of them. Let’s watch a couple of videos and discuss assessment right now!!
