Creating The Website
Date: Tuesday, February 14, 2017
Time: 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Hours: 1 hour
Activity: Making a blog so that the news gets out there to equestrians or people who are interested in adopting rescued horses. So far getting the blog together is going okay and I'm learning how to make a website by myself.
Commentary: Learning to make a website was harder than I thought. I found a site called Wix and started from scratch. When I'm done making my blog ill see how much progress I've made and what else I can do to get them adopted. There was a little bit of confusion for me but I got there it. Getting everything together is sort of difficult but I'm making corrections as I go.
In this picture Sparrow and Robin and in the round pin being worked on by using pressure and less pressure by hand movements and body movement as well.
Creating Blog and Website
Date: Wednesday, February 15, 2017
Activity: Creating the blog so far is going fine but I also am running into speedbumps on the way with my facilitator not responding back to me. So I'm going to have to go see her myself and talk so I can get my interview done.
Commentary: During this time, I had no contact with my facilitator and it was frustrating at times because I have work after school, and during the week days I'm busy with school work which means I have no time for this project. Without my facilitator's help, I may just fail the class now.
Sparrow and Robin are enjoying ones company. They're both investigating what's by the fence.
Creating Website And Venting
Date: Thursday, February 16, 2017
Activity: Creating the blog and calling my facilitator are both getting hard to reach out to and get help from. I just finished my blog and website, so now I wait. On my blog I made a way so that someone can contact me and message me to find out more information about the animals available for adoption.
Commentary: I'm starting to realize how annoying it gets by trying to reach out to someone that have to talk to but can’t say anything. Plus it’s hard on me because I have a job. My mother is very sick, and driving back and forth to the ranch sometimes is longer than the road is. Today was just another bad day but sooner or later my project has to be done.
Being loaded off one of the trailers, Sparrow and Robin start adapting to their new, safe home. After a while they started eating their hay.
Learning About Making Connections
Date: Monday, February 20, 2017
Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Hours: 2 hours
Activity: Learning to understand the horses and using the phone to adopt out was challenging but Mrs. Cheryl was by my side so it made it easier for her to walking me through the steps. Talking and arranging a meet and greet was a huge step for me and the adopters to come out to see the horses.
Commentary: This day was more like an inside job instead of being outside working with the horses like usual. The good thing is I got my connection back with my facilitator. The reason was her phone was down and she had some family issues. I got to show her the website I made to adopt out as many horses as we can. The day is set for whoever wants to adopt these few available horses and see their value and a good loving home.
In this picture my facilitator is showing me how to work with Sparrow and Robin after they had a little escape plan by getting out of the pasture and meet and greet all of the other horses and animals on the ranch.
