I.-Situation or background of the Problem
We are supposed to create a merry-go-round model which can rely on windmill-rotating(wind energy) to support itself twirling.Wind energy, as a sort of renewable energy, which can be produced by windmill-rotating, it is considered as the cleanest energy in this world.In merry-go-round model project,，the wind power generation is the basic principle that we need to obey. The wind energy will be transformed into electric energy. Then the electricity will be stored into batteries.Therefore, the merry-go-round system is unable to work regularly.

III-Research---the first time
We should use generator.It depends on the electromagnetic induction.The fundamental law of the electromagnetic is the same electrode rejects each other and the different electrode attracts each other.Interior of the equipment moves because of this.And also some electromagnetic use steel wire twine on the batteries.And the direction depends on the wind direction.

2.Electric rate of work and the scale of blades
We are supposed to consider the electric rate of work. The electric rate of work depends on the generator and the size of blades which should be rotated by the wind. And another important that we should pay attention to is the scale of model. How to determine the scale is a problem for us. The scale of blades that can match for the whole model. Furthermore,we also need to consider the material of each part,the material of blades should be flexible but it can afford the pressure from wind and air.
3.Comparison (material and method)
When we research the first way to make it which use bottles and cans.They cut the bottles into half in order to collect the wind when they are turned and they use the cap of the cans to make the bottle stable.The materials of the machine are very recyclable.We can use the bottle and cans we used. But they didn’t use the motor. And we didn’t think this machine can produce the electric and this machine is too light. WE can use the materials like this which is recycled.And this is easy to follow.
The second one is more professional than the first one. They use bamboos,glue wheel gear,wood pieces,screw.PVC tube and wire and they made the motor by themselves. And the step the more difficult.They use wheel gear to let the leaves fixation. And the main material is the wood piece is the center of the machine. The most exact point is digging the hole on the PVC tube.They are depends on the size of the screws and wire through to connection. This way is exact and they use the time to make the wind’s direction low.
So from these research we think that screw,wire bamboo is useful for us and we can learn from the first day use more recyclable materials in the machine.
4.Tools and Blades
The tools are crucial key to our project. The tools will help us to fix problems and develop the quality of the whole item.
The generator depends on the torque and PRM of the blades. And the other part that we need to concern about is the amount of blades. We can use two or four blades to afford the pressure from air and wind.
The shape of the wing is arch:
*The length of the wings:15cm
*The width of the wings:3cm
How to make blades of windmill:
We need a knife to cut PVC board like an arch.
The degree of arch approximately 30 degree.
2. We are expected to use some iron wires which can knead into a line and then use glue to stick wings on the iron wire.
3. We use wire to put wings on the electric generator.
How to make the model of merry-go-round:
Cut the wood into a rectangle.
The first big rectangle will become the stage on the bottom which in order to let the merry go around become stable.
Make a small stage
In order to put the short crab sticks on the stage.
3.Dig a hole on the small stage and then cut it in to small pieces which can rotate on the small stage.
4.Put six crab sticks beside the short crab sticks and each stick will be set in the different parts of the same slope.
5.Use glue to stick with six horses on the side of six crab sticks.
6. Connect the merry-go-round with the windmill.
How to connect the generator with the windmill:
1.Put the electric generator on a windmill.Through the windmill rotate in the wind and then a windmill can generate electricity just like the electric power.
2.Turn off the electric generator and put the lamp bulb and voltmeter in the electric circuit.In order to check whether this electric circuit has an electric current.
3. Put a motor behind the merry go around.Next,put the splice of the wire on the merry go around,
4. Open the electric generator and observe the speed of the merry go around and then write down.

1.When we cut the PVC board,we should pay attention to the shape of the board.And when we use the knife need to be very careful.
2.We should stick to the wing on the wood to be firm.In order to that if the wind is big.Ensuring that there will not drop down.
4.When we connect the wire to the merry-go-round, we should turn off the power source.
5.We are required to pay attention to the shape of the wings.We need to collect the wings easily.
6.The splice to connect the wind generator and the merry-go-round must have a good electrical conductivity.
7.Using voltmeter to write down the voltage, in order to examine the data for each experiment.
8.Merry-go-round: the number of the horses and the direction of the horses need to be alike.
9.Wind driven generator:some parts of the materials are not easy to find, so using the normal materials that are easy to find.
