RESPONSIBILITY – “OWN IT"
Self Assess • Learn • Monitor • Adjust • Maintain
This is a week of reflection to look back over the first five weeks of the semester. Are you assuming responsibilities consistent with OSEC expectations? Do you "fess up when you mess up"? Renew your commitment to strengthen and maintain your soft skills. This is an opportunity to understand that your success or failure rests squarely on your shoulders. OSEC instructors and staff are not "out to get students.” We are here to teach, encourage and promote success at every step along the way. Students who take responsibility for their behavior tend to have higher self-esteem. They are less likely to see themselves as victims of society, the school or their instructors!
The pages below contain the self-assessments from each of the previous weeks. Fill them out again and reflect upon how you have grown, or not grown, in each of these areas. Look back over the assessments that you have completed already and compare the results from this week to them.
