For the substances we are familiar:
Mixture—Homogeneous or Heterogeneous. These substances we use or work with it everyday.
For the substances we are unfamiliar:
Pure—Element and Compound. These substances are the substances we usually talk during studying chemistry, but we don’t use them much in our daily lives because they’re not easy to find or use.
The similarities and differences
The similarities: From the names of the substances, they can also give us some information. Like that no mater which things it mentions, these things are always mixture.
The differences: From the names of the substances, some of them can make you know what the materials' main substance and others can make you know what their usages are.

The matches became another kinds of heterogeneous after burning.
We think that we should keep using these things. We’ve already gotten used to a saying ”Each coin has two sides.”In the one hand, it can be dangerous; but in the other hand, we can improve them as we are using them. Because we believe that no problems no progress.
About this question, we choose one of the most normal and important compound in our daily—NaCl. Its properties are that it has water-solubility because it can be dissolved in the water, it is white solid, and it has stability although it is not very good. We can use as salt, for it is the main part of the salt. We can evaporate the seawater to get it. This is the most common way. For disposal, since it is not dangerous, so when it gets outside, we just need to clean it up.
