My report is on Thomas Jefferson. This man was excelling from start to finish. In this report I am going to talk about some of his personal life and some of his vital roles in shaping American history.
Born and raised in Shadwell, Virginia on April 13 1743 Thomas Jefferson was a very intelligent student. He attended the school of Reverend James Maury then continued his studies for two years until entering the school of William Mary in Williamsburg in the spring of 1760 at age 17. Jefferson loved books very much , in fact, he possessed a total of over ten thousand books in his library alone .Thomas Jefferson was a man of enlightenment, he helped create the bill of human rights to add to the Constitution . He married Martha Wayles who was soon known to be Martha Jefferson on January 1, 1772. He had a total of 7 children by an enslaved woman named sally Hemmings. Thomas Jefferson’s mother was Jane Randolph Jefferson and father was Peter Jefferson.
Thomas Jefferson was the American founding father of the Declaration of Independence. In which summarized the colonists’ motivation for seeking independence. Thomas was elected the second vice president of the united stated under John Adams then soon became the third vice president in 1800. He felt that the central government should be rigorously frugal and simple. He sought to establish a federal government of limited powers, in which makes sense because during the time he lived the government was very strict and complex.
Ever since he was a child Thomas has always had an idea of making a difference. In his case, he was able to do just that.
