Nowadays,non-renewable resources is 0becoming less and less,at the same time,the price of it become higher and higher.As we know,non-renewable resources is limited.If we abuse non-renewable resources,we will run out of it in the future.so renewable development is really important now.Biomass energy is a important part of renewable resources.
What is biomass?
In general,there are two ways to acquire biomass energy.
1.Organic waste recycling
2.Specially cultivated a crops as a source of biomass.
The advantages of biomass energy
Biomass energy has many advantages:
4.the total amount is very rich.
5.Biomass energy in plants, animals, and microorganisms can grow organic material, such as it is transformed by solar energy.
China has abundant biomass energy,theoretical value can be approximate 5 billion tons.
The discharge value of industry organic sewage can reach up to 2 billion.
Forest biomass distribution in the main forest zone in China,especially Tibet,Sichuan and Yunnan.The total forest biomass in these three provinces account for more than half of China.
The main source is large-scale live stock breeding.Only the animal waste can reach up to 400 million tons.
From both production pie chart and consumption pie chart. Three biggest parts were Coal ,natural gas and petroleum which were all fossil fuels. The renewable energies such as: Nuclear, biomass ,wind are only occupied approximately 16 percent. So the main fuels we used were still those caused lots of waste gas and harmful to the environment.
For the commercial sector, the electricity was the biggest used part which was over a half. Then the natural gas had about 36 percent. Petroleum was the third largest part. The renewable energy only occupied 1 or 2 percent.
For the industrial sector, petroleum and natural gas, electricity owned the most largest parts for more than 80 percent. Biomass had only 8 percent.
For the residential sector, natural gas and electricity took over above 80 percent, petroleum had 11 percent. These had already taken up over 90 percent of the residential sector.
Statement of probelm:
We are going to design and construct a biomass energy model to show the process of power generation and how to in the application in the real life.
·No larger than one square meter and no heavier than five kilograms.
·Utilize maximum efficiency of the renewable energy through design.
·It should be strong, durable and finished to a high standard.
·It must be possible to manufacture the design in the classroom
·It is easy to let people to understand how the model works.
·It should be very beautiful and the principle of perfect show.
·Creates enough energy to light a light.
·It should be created the materials that are used,reused and recycle.
·Most of these should be hand-made by ourselves..
