Before you can create an Opportunity you have to make sure that there is an account. Sign into CRM and go to Accounts and search for the account / customer using the Customer ID from FACS.
If the Account / Customer is not found then you need to add an Account click on the “NEW” top left.
You need to fill in the following fields:
Account ID – This is the Customer ID from FACS including the Group (Example 987654321-1)
Bill To ID – If it is the same as the customer ID put it in
Parent Account – If this is a Bill To situation.
Address – When you click on the Address field you will get a pop-up.
Contacts – If you have an email address for a customer then you have to enter through the Contacts.
Once you have all of those fields filled in click on “SAVE” top left.
Scroll down until you see Opportunities and then click on the “+”:
You need to fill in the following fields for the Opportunity:
Business Unit – Your Department Once you do this you will see that the Form / Page changes:

Opportunity Type – What is the customer looking for
Now you need to fill in the following fields:
Primary Lead Source – Customer, Referral, Employee – How did the Lead get to you..
Secondary Lead Source – ** If Used **, If Primary id Employee you need to put the employee’s name here.
Status Reason – Change to Assigned
Customer Interest – Explain what the customer is looking for.
Area Service – Not required
Owner-Estimator – Change to the person you are assigning it too
Same As ACCOUNT – this is for if the lead / job is not the same as the account
Job # - Self explanatory
Job Category – This is the same as what you would enter in FACS Jobs Module
If you know it will require a Permit enter “Yes”. You will then be required to enter the Township for the permit
Click on “SAVE”. You will notice that the Name Changes see Figure C it is a combination of Account ID & Job Number.
You are now ready to create an Appointment at this time. Click on the 3 Dots and select Appointment:
Fill in the following fields:
Required – Enter the person you assigned the Opportunity too
Subject – What the appointment is for.
Start Time – Time of the appointment
Duration – How long you want the Appointment to last – This will the create the End Time
Description – You can type in additional Information / Notes for the Sales Person / Estimator
Then click on “SAVE & CLOSE”
You are complete at this time with entering an Account & Opportunity.
