Thakeham Parish Council
NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING
Monday, 28 November 2016 at 6.30 p.m. in the Village Hall, Thakeham
Apologies and reasons for absence
Declaration of interest by Councillors on any of the agenda items below
Minutes of the meeting held on 24 October 2016 to be agreed and signed as a true record and to note the following responses to HDC, agreed by delegated action since the last meeting:
DC/16/2155 (T/16/51) Patuca Bracken Lane Storrington Pulborough. Proposed erection of a new house on land adjoining Patuca, Bracken Lane, Storrington, creation of new vehicular and pedestrian access on to Bracken Lane [private road] together with minor amendments to elevation and fenestration
NO OBJECTION SUBJECT TO PROPOSED CONDITIONS. Council notes the further improvement of this proposal, to address issues raised by HDC in relation to DC/16/0684 and confirms that it does not object to this application subject to the same conditions previously proposed, i.e. relating to mechanical air extraction, construction traffic control, hours of work and burning of construction waste.
DC/16/2296 (T/16/52) 40 Crescent Rise, Storrington . Revised design for plot 1 (previous approval no DC/15/2084) plot 2 to remain as approved (DC/16/1638)
NO OBJECTION SUBJECT TO CLARIFICATIONS/CONDITIONS. Council flags that the description of this application appears to be mis-referenced (as between approved application DC/15/2084, not DC/16/1638 which was refused). Council notes that this further proposal relating to plot 1 would convert an integral garage to playroom, add a separate structure in the rear garden, and change the boundary line between the two plots. Council has no objection to these changes subject to: ensuring conformance of the new rear garden shed/workshop to prior approval-level criteria, particularly in terms of not being suitable for use as separate, self-contained accommodation; and asking officers to consider options to control construction access to the site given how narrow Crescent Rise is rendered by resident parking.
