Since my play is an estimated 15 minute one act, I wanted to construct a model set to show off what the play would look like. On this day, I constructed a blue print of what I wanted my set to look like. It was confusing at times because the vision I had, I wanted a very simple set with little set changes. Creating the blue print helped a lot. Once I finished the blue print I created a grocery list for all the materials I need to buy.
I am creating my blue print for my set. I color coded the parts of the "stage" . This only took around an hour to construct the layout of my set. The next step is building!
felt really good about the blue print. My set is going to be very simple, yet creative. Having a great set is always important to the audience and the overall production of the play. I am really excited to start building the set.

On this day, I stayed after school and asked around 7 of my friend is they could stick around and read. The overall gathering did not take too long. After we finished reading I asked the opinions of others, and they all agreed that my play was very cohesive.
I finished all of my revisions and constructed a cold read of the play with a group of fellow actors. Doing a cold read helped because this helped me distinguish if I needed to make any changes to my final product.
This is the group of people I asked to do the cold read for me. They all are involved in theatre. I was really shocked seeing the characters starting to come to life.

February 9-11, I attended the annual Thespian Conference, in Columbus GA. In this conference I attended a playwrighting workshop. I also took classes on ways to avoid writers block, and ways to keep the creativity flowing.
The overall trip was a great experience. The playwrighting workshop was one of my favorite workshops I attended. I had a great instructor and she really brought out the fun side of playwrighting and made it less intimidating.
In the workshop I brought a sample of my play and shared my ideas to the instructor. I also heard a lot of feedback from the other students in the class who also were interested. We werent aloud to access our phones during the workshop but after the class I managed to get a group picture with Etowah High school's thespian troupe.
