In this picture I am having to plug in cables to the solid state drive (SSD) and the hard drive that connect to the motherboard. Once connected, to the motherboard I also connect them to SATA cables which is what powers the drives.
This is my motherboard. It has the Central Processing Unit (CPU) installed and the CPU’s fan to keep it at a moderate temperature. It also has the Random Access Memory (RAM) cards installed which are most commonly called memory cards. It is missing the graphics card and obviously all of the cables because it is not installed into the computer case yet.
These are the fans I installed into my case. They are Noctua fans which is a brand that is known for being very quiet. Since my case is also very insulated, it makes it so the computer is very quiet when it is on. This is uncommon for computers to be as quiet as mine. Also, the fans have to be arranged in a way that makes it so the airflow doesn’t leave dust in the case and keeps the internals cool.
These are the trays to put hard drives in. As you can see, my case can hold 3 hard drives here, and it also has two spots on the other side by the motherboard for smaller drives. I installed one 1 Terabyte (TB) hard drive in the first tray. I find that this is a good amount of space and I have another data drive, so I am not worried about running out of space.
This is my other hard drive. However, it is called a Solid State Drive (SSD) because it has no moving parts. It is able to transfer, download, and retrieve data much better than a normal hard drive. This specific SSD is 500 gigabytes (GB). It is more than enough for an SSD, which is mostly used for your most important files and your software so that the computer boots up very fast.
This is the computer running. As you can see, the fans are all working. Also, all the cables are connected to where they need to be.
This is my finished product. You can’t tell, but everything is inside the computer and it is running perfectly.
