Judges, Senior Project
Cherokee High School
930 Marietta Hwy.
My name is Rosicela Reyes Gonzalez. I am 17 years old and currently a student at Cherokee High School. One of my goals when I graduate is to go college and continue working hard for my education to make my love ones proud. For my senior project I decided to do it on baking. Baking is something I love and want to continue doing as I grow up.
I wrote my research on all types of things that have to do with baking. I found lots of problems that can cause harm to people without people even noticing it. When it comes to baking cakes or any type of dessert, you have to be aware of how much of the ingredients you’re putting on what you’re baking. Lots of people like to follow recipes and put as much as the ingredients that they read, but they don’t notice that it’s too much.
My product is a cake that was made by me. I related my product with the information on my research paper making sure the cake I did was healthy and tasty. It took me time to learn how to make the cake the way I wanted.
After I graduate from Cherokee High School, I would like to go to Georgia Highlands and study baking. I am interested in a career with this topic. Doing the senior project helped me understand how much I enjoy baking desserts.
The Senior Capstone Career Project was a positive experience for me. I learned that I liked this topic and will enjoy doing this as a career. I would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my senior project.
