Given the Keurig (K155) Product Guide, the student will be able to safely complete the brewing coffee process, clean, fix clogs and maintain the device.

Possible puncture of fingers from exit needle

Instructions to Trainee: You shall acquire the necessary references and equipment and complete all required documentation. You shall ensure that you have completed your On-The-Job Training Phases per WP 14-TR3308 steps 2.1 to 2.5 prior to performing these Knowledge and Practical Evaluation phases per WP 14-TR3308 steps 2.6 and 2.7. Knowledge and Practical evaluation phase requirements shall be completed with 80% or greater accuracy. Critical step performance shall be completed with 100% accuracy.
Instructions to JPM Evaluator: The trainee is to perform the terminal objective, without assistance, at the job site. Provide clarification of requirements if requested by the trainee. Maintain positive control of all evolutions performed and provide instructional guidance and reinforcement concerning trainee performance. You are encouraged to ask relevant questions to verify trainee understanding. If the trainee fails this JPM, clearly document the reason for failure and forward to the trainee's manager. On performance items, if there is more than one means available to accomplish the step, circle the method used.
Describe the basic operation and the purpose of the Keurig (K155)
Describe the importance and process of discarding a used K-cup pack after use
Describe the options of refilling the water reservoir and list the common mistakes and consequences
State your actions when the Keurig does not function properly
Explain the reason for periodic cleaning and maintenance of the Keurig coffee maker
Explain the sequence of cleaning the funnel, pack holder, housing and base
Explain the reason to carefully clean the exit needle

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (must be performed safely and correctly using WIPP approved procedures)
#Place the brewer on a counter and plug into a grounded outlet
#Remove and fill Water Reservoir, return it to brewer
Press the Power Button and wait for the preheating to complete, about three minutes
Place a mug on the drip tray
Lift handle open, select a K-cup pack and place firmly in the Pack Holder
#Lower the handle (Caution: There are sharp needles that puncture the pack, do not put fingers in the Pack Holder)
Press the lit Brew Button, allow to finish when indicator light states “ Enjoy” (Caution: Hot coffee is now inside the open cup)
Lift lid and remove and discard used K-Pack, lower handle
# Grasp top of K-Cup holder with one hand and while pushing up on the bottom from underneath until it releases.
#Remove the funnel by pulling on it until it pops off.
#Put them back together by aligning the holder with the opening using the two front ribs as a guide, and snap them into place from the top.
Clean Pack Holder, Housing and Base
#Place the Base then the Pack Holder Assembly into the Brew Head, CAUTION: Sharp needles, do NOT put fingers in chamber
