Effectively organize, execute, and lead project teams through all project phases from scoping and definition to planning and implementation of assigned technologies in order to effectively support business processes. Work with current IT resources, business team members, and external vendor resources to implement primarily customer-related projects from inception to completion; ensure projects are on-time, within scope and on budget. Will manage a portfolio of projects with typically more than one active project at a time.
*The primary difference between levels is that the Senior Project manager has responsibility for more complex projects (examples: cross divisional impact, new technology) and demonstrated mastery of ancillary project components (examples: adept at facilitating change management, ability to navigate financials and project budget). See Qualifications section for differences in experience.
JOB DUTIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.
Define approach, tools, and processes used to support customer and web related projects; ensure technical feasibility.
Manage day-to-day execution of project implementation including planning, tracking, documentation, status updates, and issue escalation.
Manage project budgets and forecasts.
Create consolidated program milestones, interdependencies, and communication plans.
Lead meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, escalate key issues and potential delays, drive decision-making to move forward key tasks and eliminate bottlenecks.
Manage reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items
Lead in identification of functional requirements and assist the business analysts in translating business requirements into specific technical specifications
Effectively work with IT support managers and business sponsors to gain necessary resources and support. Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders, including those with limited technical background.
May assess projects costs tied to proposed scope changes using appropriate verification techniques.

NATURE AND EXTENT OF SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITION

Develop and provide solutions for a variety of problems based on established precedents and policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
(e.g., special knowledge / experience)
4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting, or IT/computer science-related.
5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in IT or Marketing technologies.
5+ years of CRM or customer related systems implementation experience for mid-size to Fortune 500 organizations utilizing proven project management processes and framework.
Experience in managing medium to large projects and programs with concurrent tracks of strategy and/or implementation schedule.
Ability to manage the team through entire project lifecycle to include: requirements analysis, conceptual design, detailed design, development and configuration, quality assurance and testing, and training.
Understanding of data modeling, data mapping and/or data conversion.
Ability to work closely with senior IT and business leaders to ensure that delivery expectations are developed, managed and met.
Strong critical thinking skills, including system and business analysis, problem analysis and resolution. Must be able to understand technical concepts of the system environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a customer service attitude. Must be extremely well organized and thorough with the ability to view every problem or issue as a potential opportunity; strive for continual process improvement and approach daily tasks with a positive attitude and deep desire to elevate the customer experience.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project experience
Proven track record of being responsible for delivering complex projects and/or programs spanning the full lifecycle from proposal development to post-implementation close-out
Demonstrated ability to build high-performing project teams by effectively leading and providing work direction for others.
Demonstrated ability to manage and direct teams (employees and contractors) in a matrix environment.
Ability to conduct business impact and cost/benefit analysis evaluations and recommend the appropriate course of action for assigned projects.
Deep understanding and experience of customer external facing applications and managing projects related to developing customer-facing applications.
Senior Project Manager – all of the above with:
8+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in IT or Marketing technologies.
8+ years of CRM or customer related systems implementation experience for mid-size to Fortune 500 organizations utilizing proven project management processes and framework.
Minimum 6+ years of experience managing projects and/or programs that span multiple development and functional teams and/or multiple technologies.
Proven mastery of all project components including change management and the ability to understand financials in order to skillfully create budget projections.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Hands-on experience with CRM Pivotal application or other major CRM package
Experience with SharePoint and custom .Net web development
Prefer the real estate industry experience (commercial or multi-family property management or construction)
Previous Big-4 or other consulting experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, ETC.
Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through Project Management Institute

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
Frequent sitting with use of a computer and telephone. Occasional standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
Primarily indoors in a climate-controlled office. Noise level is moderate to quiet. May be exposed to potentially hazardous physical conditions such as mechanical parts and electrical currents. Some travel may be required.
