Pamela Kane, Ph.D. is Director of MHID- Psychiatry at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. She began work with special needs children at Adler Center, Champaign, Ill. where she became interdisciplinary team leader. Following graduate work in Child Development at the University of Illinois, she taught and directed specialized preschool and infant stimulation programs in Pennsylvania. Masters and doctoral programs in Counseling Psychology were completed at Temple University. Five years of private practice preceded employment with UMDNJ, now Rowan University where she is an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Kane is a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has more than three decades of experience with at-risk children and families and with intellectual disabilities. Specialties include: trauma and neglect, developmental problems, child and family treatment and forensic evaluation.
