The Ministry of Jesus Christ
There came a time when two Jews came to Marry. There names were Mary and Joseph. Before they came together to have a child, Mary became pregnant through the power of the Holy spirit of God.
Later on an Angel sent by God came to Joseph in a dream. He said “Joseph, Don’t worry about taking care of Mary as your wife: for the child in her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. The child is the son of God, and when she gives birth to this son, you must name him ‘Jesus’, which means Saviour, for he saves his people from their sins.”
Joseph and Mary had to travel to Bethlehem, while they were there Mary gave birth to her firstborn son, Jesus. That very night in Bethlehem Shepherds were watching their flocks of sheep and suddenly an Angel came to them. The angel said, “Don’t be afraid: for I bring good news of great joy, for all people. Today a savior was born for you which is Christ the Lord
As Jesus grew, he became stronger in the Holy spirit. As Jesus matured he showed more and more love and devotion towards God.
When Jesus turned thirty, he got baptized by John the Baptist.
Satan tried to persuade Jesus one last time by taking him to a very high mountain where he could see all the kingdoms. Satan told Jesus if he bowed down to him he would be grated the Glory of ruling all these kingdoms. Jesus told him to get away from him, and that he shall only serve God.
Later on in life Jesus proved himself as the son of God in many ways by performing many miracles. Once at a wedding Jesus turned water into wine. He also healed a man from Leprosy, and once gave a blind woman the ability to see.
Jesus called twelve men and women together, he called them disciples. The disciple’s jobs were to preach about the kingdom of god and to heal the sick.
A lot of the religious and political leaders rejected Jesus’ teaching.
Jesus respected the temple of God very much, and when he came to see that people were selling merchandise in the temple he became furious. He said to them “It is written in the scriptures that my house is the house of prayer but you have made it a den of thieves.”
After mans years of teaching and teaching Jesus instructed his disciples to bring him a donkey that had never been ridden before. He rode it into Jerusalem, where huge crowds praised him. They called out, Hosanna! Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord” peace in heaven, and glory in the highest” What happens next can be found out later on in the book!
