SONY risks being stuck with a redundant organisation structure that might fail to drive the strategy. Future reviews of the Strategic Plan should underscore core functions. Changes to be effected to the future organisation structures in line with changes in core functions.
The Audit Manager should report to the Board not to the Managing Director. Good corporate governance practices necessitate the Audit Manager to be answerable to the Board.
The Corporate Quality Assurance Manager be put under the Head of Marketing and Business. Otherwise, decisions can pile at the top as the Managing Director becomes overburdened with a lot of work.
