GAP YEAR off | Newark, California 2105 - Current
During my time off over the past year and half, I’ve learned to use various containers solutions as means for deploying applications and services to cloud service providers using their frameworks and API’s to achieve the task. (I.e. Rackspace, Godaddy Cloud, Google Cloud, Docker-Cloud, AWS)
Learned and developed my own personal site using CoreOS with docker containers to deploy nginx for use as a HA Loadbalancer and serving up static content.
Installed and deployed docker-engine, coreOS, and used docker-compose to create full stacks of services aware enabled applications.
Installed and configure lets encrypt along with cloud flare as being the CDN of choice for website optimization along with the use of OpenDNS for DDOS security.
Learned python, go from a beginner standpoint.
Wrote various blogs, authored a couple articles, and photographer for a model shoots as an amateur that’s for my personal portfolio. (San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Venice Beach, Santa Monica)
Researched the idea of using blockchain as a service utilizing entropy for securing edge parameters devices using the hash crypto keys at each hop. Should the encrypted traffic not match the next hop keys, the packets will be dropped. Should the keys match, the packet is allowed to continue on to the end host.
Attended a conference on Information Centric Networking at PARC in Palo Alto.
