Trip to Indore and ratlam-10/06/2015
An amazing, sudden and unplanned trip of Madhya pradesh was exciting as well as intimidating. It was a business cum personal trip. The journey commenced from Thane at 7.45pm when I boarded the bus. It was an air-conditioned sleeping bus and had a pleasant experienced. My first encounter was with a business development person of a Gulf company. A very calm and composed guy with enormous professionalism in him. It was really nice meeting him. The bus arrived at Nasik and there he got down. My eyes got shut and the first thing I hear was Navlakha, the stand i needed to get down. Indore is different to Mumbai in terms of auto-rickshaws. The meter runs by their mouth. And first thing he said was rs.150. I knew this would happen and was prepared. I gave him rs100 which was also more and left for my room. I explored my market the first day and left for ratlam the other. Indore has an excellent chartered ac bus service from Indore to ratlam and bhopal as well. After a day stay at ratlam( famous for its chevda and mava)
I left for Indore. I first visited famous jain derasar(temple) made full of glass.
Then left for raj mahal not so extra ordinary.
I heard about the Zoo and left for seeing it as had nothing to do. To my surprise, Zoo was an excellent place. Got to see rear animals and birds around. They also had young volunteers saving animals from harassing people.
Then i left for regency park. The park was extraordinary. Huge gardens and amidst them lay a lake where speed boats, row boats and machine boats ran. There were lots of stalls where you could eat pav bhaji, pani puri, pulav etc.
After that, i left for sharafa market in Indore. It is a lane of jewellary market which gets converted to khav galli in the evening. Had some great experience of food which i had never tried before. My favourite was coconut crush without sugar. That was the best to have.
Trek at Naneghat
Sunday, 28th june 2015,
Naneghat, a mountain trail, near Junnar situated in Pune district in Maharashtra is an amazing place for a nature lover to be in. The name nane means “coin” and ghat means “pass”. The name is given because this path was used as a tollbooth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills. The location is ideal for star gazing and star photography.
Known for its plateu and waterfalls , Naneghat is the famous place for people in Mumbai during Monsoons. I went with a group of trekkers known as Har bhole group from Mulund. We left at 7am in a mini van, with full of nature lovers and amazing creatures. At 10am we started climbing and reached at the summit at approx 12.15pm.
It felt lke a great achievement after reaching at the top. We all started having lunch which consisted theplas, curd, sambhar, chutney( you would know only if you are a guuju).
It felt like an heaven up there. Caves were very calm and wind blew swiftly.
We left at 2.50pm and descended in around 150minutes.
Monsoon 10k run 2015....5golden days- 23/8/15
On 3rd August 2015, my brother spoke me about the Mumbai marathon happening at Chembur. Having never heard or tried about something of that sort, I asked him to register for me too thinking would get some exposure and run quite a few distance if not all the distance. The days passed by and was busy in my routine work.
Then On August 17th , With my flight landing to India began a thought to actually make this 10000metre run happen and thus began an unimaginable and almost impossible journey towards this goal.The fees were paid and here I was thinking about my first ever marathon. It seemed impossible few days ago when I registered but suddenly ,I started to believe it as a possibility.
On the evening of 18th August, I started my first practice in Johnson & Johnson garden. It was the beginning of the journey in the unknown territory. I never ran more than 500 metres in my whole life. However to my surprise I was able to run 3000 metres on the very first practice. The happiness could be felt at the pounding of my heart and smile on my face. On the 19th August, I made a target of running 5000 metres. The initial 2000 metres were a cake walk that day. However, the problem started in last 1000 metres. My energy was exhausted , legs werent suportive and mind was not working at all. But determined to reach the target, I was able to accomplish the target. Day by day, moment by moment my confidence enhanced and managed to complete 7000 metres and 10000 metres on the next 2 days. But more than the end , the journey was worth remembering in each and every race.
Finally came the d day......... 23rd August. The day i had been dreaming for from the last 5 days.More than the day, it was the night that seemed too long. I couldnt sleep being nervous and excited. We left for marathon at around 4 45am and reached at the starting point at around 5 15 am The atmosphere was electrifying . Hundreds of people wearing white T- shirt of Mumbai marathon consisting of different age groups were all set for the race. In a few minutes time, We all were made to warm up at Chembur gymkhana. All were boosted by the hosts and were asked to reach the starting point. At the count down of 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,,2,1 the race got started and i was in awe within few minutes of the start as more than 3/4th crowd was ahead of me and were running at a great pace. I prefered to focus on my speed and stability and complete the race. Every moment of the race was worth remembering. Every foot I marched ahead was responsible for making my first marathon a grand success. We were directed to the highway and volunteers cheered us at every point of time.
Then a moment came of a u turn, signalling of completing 50% of the race. Things had become a bit difficult for next few minutes. I was feeling very tired and my feet were not ready to keep up the pace. However, it is rightly said" you recognise your own potential when you challenge your own limits". I tried to be calm, positively focussed and enjoy those present moment. From 5000metres to 7000 metres, I kept pushing myself ahead.
Then came a right turn, where a volunteer motivated us by saying 3000 metres more. Legs took the pace and body just followed it. My running pace increased greatly and finally I came at a distance of 100metres from the finish line. Seeing the finish line got a spark in me and I started running like a real runner and cherished my last few moments before coming to the halt.
A great achievement in life for me and the day would always be rememebered. We were given medals and certificate of participation.
Pune....Ganpati celebrations- 25/9/2016
On 25th september, we embarked our journey to the Queen of Deccan......pune. Known for its ganesh chaturthi celebrations and the grand occasion, our office picinic was announced . We headed to lonavala..... a hill station near pune . It is known for its chikkis and fudges as well as for its Tiger point.(you may not find any tigers though) . The weather was pleasant and sun was smiling at its best.
Having fun at Tiger hills and then at bushy dam on our way down, we reached pune in the evening.
Dagdu sheth . as it is the most famous ganpati ji in Pune, we headed directly there to see its charismatic idol and enjoy the celebrations. On our road to bhavani peth, we saw a lot of idols with different different uniqueness and people offering prayers in front of it. There were also lazim people and dance all across the streets of pune. As we reached the starting point of Dagdu sheth, we found all different types of stalls on both sides of road selling leather, shawls, flutes etc... In a matter of 2minutes we entered the main entrance and all of us were overwhelmed by seeing the amount of crowd gathered for visiting this festival. More than 25k people were present . It had become like a kumbh mela where you can be lost if not alert. All the followers of ganesha were having their own set of fun. Some people sang songs, some just dance and some were in their own world of happiness.
We first reached Kasba ganpatiji, another famous one. We took the blessings and even saw a 3d movie which was very good. On the road ahead, we saw garguantuas structure covered with lights all around and on its back side lay dagdusheth ganpati. The idol was really charismatic and it just drew all our attention and never felt like leaving. After aarti, We left for seeing few more ganpati ji. It was a real honour to be a part of such a huge festival and watch this large number of followers coming for visit.
Silvassa trip....... a memorable experience- 2/10/2015
Silvassa is located at a distance of 168 km from Mumbai. The capital of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Planned in a week time, from 7 people planning to come to 4 people finally able to make- Akhilesh, shruti, Kejal and myself, it went through many leaps and bounds but undeterred by situation, we finally left off at 9 30am on 2nd october. All of them very excited to meet each other as it was a UK reunion after 2 long years. The journey was smooth and roads were amazing. Singing and listening to songs, we moved and then took a halt at datta wadi, one of the amazing restaurant on the way. After grabing few bites, we left off for khanvel resort near Silvassa. It took us approx 3.3HRS to reach the resort.
Built magnificiently, the hotel had 2 properties , one on the left with major cottages and forest around it and the other one more modernly built, both having its own uniqueness. Nakul bhaiya, owner of the resort, a very happening guy with happy go lucky and friendly attitude was being very helpful in suggesting for cottages . We took the cottage and very amazed by its beauty. It was perfect. Surrounded by lawns of lush green grasses on dual sides and forest at the back, makes it the perfect place to stay. We checked in and then simply left for lunch as we all very hungry. Being Jain myself, was being a bit dicy about the availability of food. But i was really surprised to find the most delicious jain food with a lot of delicacies available to eat.
Coming back , we went to try spa. It was a very refereshing experience . Then we played black jack and other games till 9pm.
To our surprise, rain gods were in a gay mood and the climate changed in a fraction of second and we all enjoyed the enriching climate as well. After dinner, being all tired of journey , we went off to sleep early.
Day2: KHANVEL RESORT- BOATING AT DUDHNEY WATERFALL
At 630 am the sun smiled early and after a heavy breakfast in the morning, we all enjoyed by the pool till lunch post which we left for Dudhney ,known for its water fall. The route to dudhney was very thrilling. Sharp curves with strong winds added by our actions of sitting on the car window made it happening
Unfortunately we couldnt reach waterfall as it was already 4 30pm and we needed to travel by the boat for 40minutes to reach base and then trek another 30minutes . As it would have become dark, we skipped the idea and decided to take boating .
The climate was excellent and we enjoyed boating. It was 7pm till we left .
3. BOATING AT DUDHNEY WATERFALL - SUNBURN SILVASSA
To our advantage, sun burn event was taking place at khanvel and again thanks to Nakul bhaiya, we got free passes.... We directly left for sunburn.
Sunburn was an event worth watching. There were thousands of people coming from different prt of the country. We all had the best time dancing. Our friend shruti, though made the most of sunburn.
All of us being very hungry , We came back and had dinner. Post dinner, there was another party happening at our resort. We happened to go there but being tired we came back withing few minutes and hit bed.
Day3: KHANVEL RESORT-VAPI
Finally the day of departure arrived. No one wanted to leave but no one has control over time. We left a bit early as we wanted to try special punjabi food at a resturant in vapi. Having a good time , we left for Mumbai and bid each other good bye until our next trip ......fingers crossed, hopefully diwali and this time with all the UK group coming for the trip.5
Visit to less known tourist spot- Kolhapur and a very well known tourist spot- Goa-6/11/15
Kolhapur was a very sudden trip that happened to me. I took a bus of Ghadge patil at 9 45 pm, the only bus leaving from Mulund which dropped me at Kolhapur, the next morning at 7 30am. The journey was cozy and the bus was very neat. Unknown to the place, i searched for good and safe place to stay.
I found a huge range of hotels near bus stand especially near dabolkar circle like hotel parth, hotel chalukya etc. The costliest was Hotel samrat which would have costed around 2000 bucks. Then there were few hotels with dormitories offering at rs.400.
But the best of the best was hotel tip top dormitory. The manager was very humble. The rooms were attractive with great ambience. It had 6 bathrooms and toilets with cozy beds . It also provided bath kit, mineral water and all out for mosquitoes. Also a Television set to refereshen up. It took care of every need of customers. And guess what it all came at a charge of rs.200/night.
However, to my bad luck it was full that day and I had to stay in a
http://www.tripoto.com/travel-guide/dharamshalaDharamshala which was called ruikar dharam shala. It was an old building with not so attractive looks. However, the rooms were huge and very peaceful. I loved the place and decided to spend my night there.
After having breakfast at Naik restaurant, only pure veg restaurant near bus stand, I left for work.
After getting my work done at shahupuri and laxmipuri , I left for the most famous Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur.
From bus stand, one can easily get a bus for temple. I reached the temple at around 7 30pm. The temple was garguantous in size and had multiple entrance points. It was a very serene and spiritual place. All the thoughts of the mind comes to the halt at this place. After taking blessings from Godess Mahalaxmi, I relaxed for some time before leaving for next destination which was rankala Lake.
Rankala lake was quite similar to Marine drive of

After finishing work at bagal chowk and udhyam nagar, I left for Bahubali temple by share auto as there were bus strikes all around. The route goes as follows.
From Bus stand- Sangali phata- Hatkandi- Bahubali temple. It took me 2hrs to reach but the experience was amazing.
After heaving a good gujarati lunch I climbed up the hill for reaching Temple which was a 45minutes walk .
The view from the top were breathtaking. The wind blew gently with spreading amazing aroma.
After beholding to God, I came down and had a look at staying facilites at kumbh-giri. They had delux and super delux cottages.

Plunge into tower running- 27/12/2015
TOWER RUNNING …an experience worth remembering
Running had brought out a new sense in me. It allowed me to see things differently and put a new life in me. I couldn’t imagine life without running. And there came a very different event called as Tata tower run. At first I was a bit hesitant to take part seeing it as an easy event and a waste of time. But then respect for the sport took over and registered myself. Tower run is a level different from normal running and require different level of preparations as well. I set a target of 3min and aimed to top. I practiced in mountains. In Mulund where I stay we have a benefit of having mountains which can be trailed. There were 3 levels and I decided to run all the 3 before 2 days of race. My first 3 days were mainly focused on 1st level climbing up and down 5times. Gradually in the next couple of days I went on to second level. My first encounter with second level wasn’t good. I had to take a break viewing my heart beat level and the breathe. But next day I reached the summit of second level quite nicely. Next few days I couldn’t practice due to illness and finally the race day arrived.
I was sure I was way behind my target and thus decided to enjoy the race and give my best. Hundreds of youth as well as adults gathered at the tower running event. I met an awsome lad named Jay kamat. We became good friends. He being from thane , I had a good company too on the way back. The race started and we climbed and climbed until 2nd floor when most runners were exhausted trying to go top speed. With me it was the height of stairs which I was very uncomfortable about. By 6th floor I lost all my speed I walked a couple of floors gaining strength to increase my speed. It was then I used all the techniques I had learnt from youtube which came in handy. By 10th floor again I was ready to run but this time a bit slow and made sure I would make it till end. Step by step ,floor by floor the excitement to reach the top was increasing. At 20th floor I took an energy drink and then along with a young lad ran till the top to feel accomplished. My time was recorded as 6.33minutes and was ranked 27 out of 83. With tactics and self observation I timed it 6.28minutes .
After the race I found out about a new initiative started by Iscon temple management called eco village near wada village . Then there was a new form of dance which summed up the dance of all dance styles in India. We danced on 5 different songs and the steps were simple and lovely. Cii had also organised few games testing brain as well as physical fitness of individuals. Finally they announced the winners . Individual event-3.33minutes and group event 2.26 seconds. Finally at 12 30pm ,the event ended with smiles and happy faces all around .
A well spent sunday indeed it was.
Backpacking to Uttrakhand....-15/3/16
Travelling has always been a passion for me. Life becomes dry if new places arent explored and new people arent met. Its what shapes the vision and helps me understand how diverse is the whole world been. In search for such a destination and making life a bit juicy, I happened to explore north west portion of Uttrakhand.
The itineary would allow you to explore every part of travel planning that one would undergo. Places we travelled and couldnt travel , things which were worth exploring, best places to eat and expenses on a day to day basis have been seperately provided.
Trip to Uttrakhand came out of the blue and became a reality. Proposed by some other friend to explore some other portion of Uttrakhand and then made into reality by me with some other friend. Such was our trip filled with zeal and zest. The 8days were filled with life and each moment were immeasurable and invaluable in nature.
It had many obstacles too. Planned on a short period of 4 days we were unaware of any place to explore and neighther had we researched as such . Just on D -1 day, at 10am , We sat on the laptop and raced against thousands of people across the country for 2 tickets to
http://www.tripoto.com/travel-guide/delhiDelhi. Luck not favouring us, we obtained a waitlist ticket for Rajdhani express. Not losing hope, We repeated the process at 11am in search of sleeper class ticket. However, we failed again. Determined to travel, We overlooked the nature of the trip-backpacking and straightway booked flight tickets. This is how our trip to Uttrakhand became a reality.
Our flight was scheduled at 7 45am from Mumbai domestic Airport. We left by 5 20am and reached by 6am. After clearing all the checks and procedures, we waited for flight. This trip being an uncommon one , uncommon things had to happen. Flight got delayed by 2hours. Within minutes of the news, chaos spread among the passengers. There was one Bengali business man who had his other flight scheduled at 1030am from Delhi. A Punjabi business man who had his business meetings lined up for the day and many others with similar such problems.
However, among them also present were a Gujarati family who were out for tourism to

They relaxed the situation and asked for a good breakfast in return for delay in trip. People laughed at their way of talking and they were thoroughly an entertainment for next 30minutes. The staff promised a take off at 9 15am. Things started worsening again at 8 45am when flight was going to get delayed by 30minutes more. People were furious, the airport authority head did not turn up and neighther was being a helping hand for the passengers.
There was a moment when the whole crowed gathered the commanding officer of go air and did not allow him to move an inch. Finally, senior person came to the rescue and promised landing of flight within10minutes. Flight landed and people applouded in happiness. Viewing as a third person, we also had to appreciate the calmness of voice maintained by airline staff. Not for a moment they lost their temper or gave a rude answer.
We were enjoying these moments and one such moment waited for us in flight, when before take off the lady from same Gujarati family pranks with air hostess and asks if they would take her to hospital if she faints or something happens to her( humko hospital leke jaayenge naa aap log agar kuch hua hoh...ke phir idhar hi chod denge) It was all fun and hats off to that family for saving the life of Go-air staff and keeping the environment calm and composed
Delhi has got best connectivity across the city by Metro. We headed to New Delhi metro station cloak room, where there is good facility to keep the luggage and very safe as well. We took a day pass of rs150 which provides unlimited travel during the day.
Famous by name parathe wali galli in chandni chowk, Delhi is famous for its parathas. we tried some delicious parathas like kaju paratha, muli paratha and cabbage parathas. They are served with aachar and some curries. Near by , there were also kulcha chole...which were equally famous. The combination of soft kulchas with spicy choles were worth trying in Delhi.
Built 33metres high, 2.4kms long stands Red fort which is 5minutes from Chandni chowk. Huge, magnificient structure creates a natiural awe in itself. It took Sahahjahan 9 years to built this fort. There are 2 entrants to Red fort. Lahori gate which was used by common public and Delhi gate which was used by Emperor himself. He also built an outside gate providing proeteciton to the fort inside.
We first came across Noba khana which can also be called as drum house. Huge drums were played in earlier times manly during the prayer time or during the time when a dignified person enters the fort.
Further we came across Diwan-e-aam, the place where Emperor Akbar sat. It was made of a marble stone at a great height. Below it was a table like stand made for his secretary in chief to pass the papers and appeals by the people. It was said that diwan-e -aam could accomodate 10000people at a time and was made by paying a hefty one lakh rupees during that era.
Then we saw Diwan-e -khas , a special room where all secret meetings and pleasure moments of emperor took place. It was seperated by the railing depending on order of highness of a man.
There was also a water gate which was mainly for Emperors personal enjoyment which was later taken over by Britisher.
We also saw khwab gaa, a place where Emperor slept and our precious Kohinoor Diamond was stored.
Further, came balcony where shahajahan enjoyed watching Elephant fights and was also a place where he used to dress up elegantly every day in front of his people and solve their queries.
Rangmahal,a place where princess stayed. It was nicely colured with silver celiling which was then looted by Britishers.
One of the famous temple in Delhi is Iskon temple. One need to go to kalkaji mata mandir metro station and walkthrough the huge garden and then reach iskon temple. A peaceful and serene place to be. There are various video shows available as well. It is important to go a bit early as you can visit lotus temple situated besides it as well.
Connaught Place officially Rajiv Chowk) is one of the largest financial, commercial and business centres in NEW DELHI

A good place to hangout in the evening . We had dinner at one of the best restaurant- suvarna bhavan serving a a south Indian cusiine decorated in an elegant manner as well as offering a great taste at a very reasonable price.

The bus ride was smooth from Delhi and we reached Land of Gods.......Haridwar at 4.30am in the morning. It was chilling cold and the excitement of the trip was at its summit. Heard about the ashrams in haridwar we enquired Auto walas about ashrams and all they said were hotels were more better and we should opt for that. Not having much option, we decided to take auto and asked him to show us only ashrams to which he acknowledged and on resuming the trip slowly he muttered in hindi....(unnees bees to chalta hai) meaning a little adjustment would have to be done. I found something fishy, but decided to wait and watch. Driving some 3 kms away, he took us to some shady place in a small alley full of hotels. On insist , I paid a visit to the room and they were bad enough to not even stay for free. The owners still asked us 1000 bucks a night. Keeping my calm, I asked the driver to take us to a N.D youth hostel which I had already researched.
He was upset as he lost his commission but we were relaxed that we managed to find a good place to stay. The rooms were neat and the staff was humble. We opted for dormitaries as it sets an option of meeting new people. We checked in and after having few hours of good sleep, we had great delicious healthy parathas made for us.
Mansa mata temple and chanda mata temple
We first visited Mansa mata temple through an share auto which costed 10bucks and would leave us at post office. Then after walking for 3 minutes , we arrived at the window of cable car that leads directly to Mansa Mata temple and Chanda mata temple. We took the cable car and reached divine temple. It was all windy upthere and the beauty was in at its best. After taking blessings at the temple, we left for chanda mata temple ,again by a cable car. Here We had an opportunity to meet our ancesters, Monkeys. Sachin had a great time observing them. He would even love monkey as his pet for sure.
Feeling hungry, we left for famous restaurant hosiyana in the market, the best punjabi food in hardiwar. The rates were very economical and food was very tasty. It was 4pm already and so we rushed to Hari ki pauri.
Hari Ki pauri.
It is the most famous and a must visit place in haridwar. Known for its famous aarti every evening, it is a main place for kumbh mela, one that occurs once in every 12years. We headed toward lake and decided to take plunge in water. It was cold and water was chilled. My friend Sachin took the iniative and went into water. I followed him and we were shivering in a matter of seconds. We came out quickly but were satisfied of dipping in it once.
The aarti time was near. So we went to the place where aarti takes place. The aarti were lively, energetic and blissful. Nothing was happening and eternal bliss was being felt. Seeing other devotees lighiting diyas, we too joined in and completed it with the help of saints with proper rituals. The atmosphere was electrifying
We then left for home and bought some crackers on the way back. We had terrific time bursting rockets and 1000ka

The sky was colourful and stayed that way for the whole of night.We had never seen such amazing crackers being bursted anywhere in Mumbai and that too on a consistent and continous manner. For next 2 hours we just enjoyed Diwali in Haridwar. Neck started paining and then we went off to sleep.

There are 2 bus stands in Haridwar. One is main bus stand which links to places like Rishikesh and Hardiwar. Other is Rishikul bus stand , the place where all private buses from Delhi would halt.
The main road , where all ashrams lay is just a minute walk from Rishikul bus stand. Refrain from using rickshaws. If you need to, give them proper address of the ashram to stay.

Next in our list was the spiritual capital of India- Rishikesh. We found 2 options to reach -share auto and by uptdc bus. We went by auto rickshaw for rs.40 and enjoyed the beautiful view of Lord Shiva and Jain temple along the way.
We checked in at Zostel and had a dormitary stay. We had a great time there. It had a fabolus grafiti with seperate room for games, reading as well as roof top for chilling and a restaurant to eat. We hit the bed which were very fluffy .
We then took a rented scooter for rs.400 and then left for Jumping heights, the only place for outdoor activity.
It was a long drive of 90 minutes to jumping heights office. We opted for a combo of Bunji jumping and fire fox. The videos can be seen below. The road of reaching jumping heights is superb. Green river on one hand and mountains on others.
We had great fun in bunjy jumping. It was thrill mixed with anxiety. The moment of jumping off the bridge was full of high heart beats and fear. But as it is said... darr k aage jeet hai, i jumped off and had a moment of joy and happiness when i landed on the bed waiting for me at the bottom. However, my friend Sachin Who was watching me jump was super scared and was shivering for 10minutes till New zealand coach motivated him enough to jump. He said, there was a moment when he thought of giving up and even sacrificing 3000 bucks. But hats off to his courage and determination , he had the guts to jump.
On the way back, we were searching for a good camping site and to our good luck we found a great site on the banks of the river. We finalised the deal for rs1100, which included morning breakfast+ Lunch+ evening tea/coffee and Dinner followed by borne fire. Coming back we left for dinner and landed at Restaurant Ganga jamuna on the way to Laxman Jhula. The owner was very soft spoken and had made a good interior. We ordered soup to begin with . However, it had very bad taste and not of good quality. We left and found another good restaurant near Laxman jhula which was very good.
Coming back to the hostel, we went to roof top Where we met 3 amazing guys from Surat. Krunal, Dharam and Mashal. They were happy go lucky and we all went all very well. All being gujju, we started playing cards and enjoyed for 4hrs. Finally at 1am in the morning we went off to sleep.

DAY 4: RISHIKESH - DEHRADUN
After a good sleep at Zostel, we woke up with a spirit of positivity and meditative mind. Having heard a lot about meditations in Rishikesh, all of us along with one new mate from Delhi, Nakul bhaiyaa left for meditation at Anandi ashram. It was 8 30am and we were confident about getting a chance of good meditation. However, in Rishikesh 8 30 am seems to be too late for anything. The saints informed us that meditatiion takesplace from 6am to 7am. We then took a stroll around Rishikesh and then settled at a good south Indian restaurant on the main road. The entrance and place was small and we wondered about the tastiness of the food. But as it is said, dont judge a book by its cover was very true for this restaurant and every item we ordered was as delicious as it should have been.
Rafting was on the list for the day.
So we directly visited some rafting offices( one can find a lot of people offering rafting in Rishikesh) The person told us 300 bucks as the rate. We then bargained and brought him down to 250 bucks. ( I was given a quote of rs.550 by email from Ganga valley adventure before the trip) It also included to and fro travelling. All 5 of us left in excitement for rafting and 15 kms away was our starting point...... shivpuri. It was a long rafting of 18kms and every moment was truly cherished and enjoyed by us. We encountered some huge waves and the thrill and excitement was at clouds end. Finally after 2hrs 45minutes of hard work and sweat in raft, all of us got down dead tired . There was not enough energy left among us even to talk. We headed straighaway to chotiwala restaurant ... the most famous one for its food as well as choti of the person who always sits outside. It was already 5 30pm when we finished our lunch.
At 6pm , it was dark and thus we skipped the plan of camping in Rishikesh.
We had 2 options
a. to stay in rishikesh
b. to go Mussorie
We opted for a more adventures 2nd option and left for Mussorie through Dehradun. We reached Dehradun at 8 45pm . The route to Dehradun from Rishikesh is dangerous due to attacks by Wild Elephants. So forest department travels along the road for safety. After reaching Dehradun , we rushed to Railway station bus depot for bus to Mussurie. But all the buses for that day had been departed as it was risky to drive in night. One could also avail share taxi for 210 bucks. Bus costs 56bucks. We found a good

DAY 5: DEHRADUN
We had no plans to stay at Dehradun as it was less renowned place and nor it anyone reommended us to pay a visit. However, the morning coffee with biscuits did the magic for us. The owner of the stall was perplexed by our question, (yaha hai kuch karne ko aur kuch dekhne ko) meaning is there anything to do and see in Dehradun. The locals were very proud of the region. With pride and confidence, he narrated all the great things to see like Sashastra-dhara( the sulphur water spring), Robertcave or Gucchu pani, Tapkeshwar temple, FRI museum, ghanta ghar and Deer park. We skipped going to Mussorrie and decided to explore Dehradun.
We explored our options of travelling as we couldnt find rented bikes in Dehradun. Most of the locals asked us to opt for an auto rickshaw and pay a hefty 800 bucks except an old wise man who motivated us to go with local transport like the localites. Excited by the option, we took the local transport which not only saved us 800bucks but also created a pride for the government on the quality of buses and its frequency. We do not remember anywhere standing for more than 3minutes for a bus .
One more important thing to note is that share jeeps in Dehradun are called Vikram and their drivers are known as vetal. So concept of Vikram and vetal still lived a legend on the streets of Dehradun. We took a vikram from our Dharamshala till the chowk where we would get the bus for our first sight seeing point Shahastradhara.
Sahastradhara literally means thousand fold spring is a waterfall in Dehradun combinhed with garden , temple and caves as well. People from all over the world are known to visit here mainly because of its sulphur water. It is said that many diseases get cured by drinking sulphur water.
After 15kms of journey through bus, we arived at sahastradhara. We took the cable car for our way up . The garden up were very well maintained and worth visiting. We then visited temple and later camne back down after enjoying some archery and gun shooting at the top.
Coming down, we enjoyed waterfall and drank sulphur water. Then after visitng the small cave besides the waterfall, we headed to our next and the best destination of our whole trip- Roberts cave or Gucci pani.
Robert cave or gucci pani is a mountain cut by river in the interiors from both the sides making its way ahead and resembling the shape of a open cave . There are 2 portion of a cave. The innermost portion and exterior portion. As we make our move through waters, inner area comes to the right which is covered from all sides and looks a proper cave.
It ends at the waterfall with huge force and people enjoying themselves in it. After enjoying the waterfall, we made our way up to exterior area. As we moved ahead, the scenary was becoming more and more beautiful. We had some great clicks in this region.
It was a long narrow path ending in a jungle like area. This place was a real heaven and we recommend not to miss visiting this place when one is in Dehradun. After enjoying roberts cave, Sachin had maggi and noddles and we left for our next tourist spot known as tapkeshwar temple.
It is a very famous Mahadeva temple in Dehradun. It is located on the banks of river and very peaceful and serene place to be at. The winds deposits cool breezes and devotes offers flowers in the river. After taking the blessings, we left for our next and final destination for the day which was Ghanta ghar
It is also known as clock tower. Made by Britishers lay a huge tower in the centre of market. Dehradun city centre resides at this place. There are lot of retail outlets and good restaurants to be visited for a foodie. We had a great punjabi dinner at one of the restaurants. The price for dinner was quite economical as well

People in Dehradun are very helpful and friendly. Its a very safe place to be at.
Dharamshala is located on Gandhi road, 3minutes walk from Railway station.
Visit FRI museum and Deer park -equally famous( we ran out of time)
Travel mussurie by taxi if you have vommitting problem. The bus drivers drive rash.
On the dawn of day 6, we reached bus station which was just 2minutes walk from our stay. I stood in the que for getting a ticket of mussorie. Uttrakhand governmernt had the very good management in terms of tourism. They would issue the tickets only after arrival of bus. Just like private operators we were allocated seat numbers and i was really surprised at such great management. The buses were neat, clean with leather seats which increased the comfy of the travel. However if one is prone to vomiting I would recommend to use a cab or carry paper bag as to avoid any problems to fellow passangers.
We arrived at Mussorie at 10.30am after 90minutes of travel. Mussorie was a different experience all together of all the hill stations I have visited. The road went uphill and ends at the tip of the hill which is Lal tibba. So there is no way that you can get lost along the way. However, if you have not got the good stamina to walk then kindly avoid it as it had steep inclinations.
At Mussorie bus stand, one could find all the hand carts rickshaws as well as agents who could show you some good hotels as per your budget. For us, we both were comfy with walking. So we walked for 1.5kms to reach Bunkotel( only hostel in Mussurie- you can find more at www.hostelworld.com) It is exactly opposite to cable car in Mussorie. We were excited as we had great experience is Zostel. However, to our surprise things didnt work out as we planned. The dorms were good and neat. However the way to dorms was very shady. The owner had no clue whatsoever about the concept of dorms. He Showed us the room with 8beds and asked us 1200 bucks. We tried understanding him but all in vain. So we had no choice but to find another place to stay. Luckily again I had researched about Dharamshala and it was very well known. It was far off and 1km ahead, we decided to take the walk. The journey was tiring but we were determined to walk and so after 20minutes we reached Dharamshala. The building looked old from outside but when we had an inner look of the Dharamshala we were very happy to see huge rooms, nice beds at resaonable price. We took the rooms and went to bed straightway due to ice cold weather.
After some time, we headed down to bhojanshala( the place where food is served). The cook was really good. He made Special parathas for us. We had aaloo, gobi , Muli and paneer parathas. We were very much filled which led us to take a small nap. Later in the afternoon, we left for sightseeing.
CAMEL BACK ROAD
It was nothing but a union of 3 rocks combined together to take the shape of a camel. The road was long . Suddenly we found a man with a binocular.
He showed the whole mussorie with tehri garhwal region and camel shaped rocks as well. The need of reaching up there faded after seeing the rocks through binocular. So we directly left for Gun hill which can be accessed through cable car or through trek
. We took cable car and reached the top to see there was nothing much. We had a cup of coffee and headed downwards not through cable car but through other route. It was a good experience coming down. Later, We explored the markets of Mussorie, famous for shopping and then we headed to book our train tickets to an agent. We found only one agent and he charged rs 450 for getting a tatkal ticket. We gave him 3 options- Rajdhani, Durronto and paschim express. One of the things I noted was the value of time taken by agents in terms of money. There was a board which said if you inquire about bus, train or flights you would be charged rs10 each for inquiry. Then we found a restaurant serving herbal tea with different flavours. We had it and found very healthy indeed. Coming back we rested for the day.

The next day we checked out from Dharamshala and hanged out to explore some new places . Dhanaulti, a good nature trail near Mussorie was our best option. Share jeep was only option left for us as last bus departed at11am and private cab costs 1500bucks. We reached taxi stand and waited for 45minutes as they would depart only after all the passengers have filled in the jeep. Long wait made our patience lost and we headed towards Lal Tibba, another famous tourist spot in Mussorrie, the highest point og Mussorie. On the way up, we found people shooting for a movie and suddenly we ater ll were asked to take a stepback. Curious to know, we went down and suddenly appeared Ajay Devgan shooting for his movie Shiva. Then we watched his one scene and left for Lal Tibba. Lal Tibba was a spectacular scenic beauty with some mouth watering coffee served at the top
We then headed to the Sister market, where we sawAjay devegan shooting for his film Shiva.We spent almost 3hours up there watching the shoot Leaving mussorie was the hell of the job. More than 50people stood in the que for getting ticket of last bus at 630pm. People fought amongst themselves for the ticket. Luckily we got the ticket and headed our downward journey. The downward journey was a bad incident. All over the place people were vommiting without carrying a bag. The bus was smelling but not option left had to bear 90minutes in the bus.
Finally coming to Dehradun, we went to Dehradun ISBT and took the government bus to Delhi. Thanks to my friend sachin who truly believed in backpacking experience that we rode this journy. We miscalculated the distance from Dehradun to New Delhi

DAY 8- DELHI
. We caught the bus at 9pm which dropped us at 3 30am in New Delhi.Shivering in cold and unsatisfied by sleep, we searched for bus to Railway station. Unfortunately, we couldnt get one after standing for 30minutes thereby forcing us to pick an auto for rs60, which dropped us to Ajmeri gate. We headed towards Paharganj by bridge and reached Arakashan road, where Zostel bed was waiting for us. We checked in doze off. It was 11.30am when we checked out of Zostel and looked for breakfast. Fortunately, we founda great South Indian restaurant exactly in front of New Delhi railway station.
Then we headed for Lotus temple. The speciality of this temple was that if did not favour any particular religion. A dome shaped ceiling with huge space to meditate was provided to all the devotees and could pray in any manner they wished. After meditating for 45minutes, we headed to our next spot which was famous Akshardham temple.
We reached Akshardham temple at 3 30pm. The temple had huge tourist attraction due to Diwali holidays. We took the tickets for water show and special cultural show. It took us 2 and half hour before we could actually attend the show. The show was phenomenal. We then saw water show of 20minutes. It started with National anthem and then some cultural water show was shown along with great dynamism in water colours and its design. Finally at 9pm we headed back to Zostel to take our luggage. We caught the Duronto train which left at 1125pm and headed to Mumbai.

We also had a young old man travelling with us and he resembled the old person from movie Munna bhai Mbbs. Resembled not in terms of face but in terms of thoughts. Remember the famous dialogue ....rani toh papani. He actually was the living legend of the same.
I remember the incident when we were playing a game called Napolean where one needs to ask pair of cards from the other. When someone aked queen from the other , uncle used to get up from his sleep and ask for queens. It was a wonderful train journey. Finally we arrived Mumbai......aamchi Mumbai and feeling of Home sweet home was being fulfilled. A wonderful journey finally came to an end or you could say it is going to be the beginning of a new journey with new people at a new place..

HIRANANDANI POWAI – MY FIRST HALF MARATHION 3/1/16
I still remember the night of 2md january, Half excited and other half of me was intimidated. A direct jump to 21km race was initself an achievment. As I entered the pizza hut area of powai, all I could see was lightning of 31st december , volunteers in hundreds and the centre stage occupied by all the awsome runners. My Dad accompanied me and was an inspiration in the event. I reached the starting point hearing all the amazing motivation songs and motivated host of the event.
The race started and here i was running at a good pace right from the beginning. All i thought was enjoying those moments of race which continued with me till the end. I reached the lake area and found myself faster than many. This could be hazardous as speed can automatically become slow being with slow runners. So i caught up legs of one fast runner and followed him. My speed increased and i followed him till eastern expresshighway route till 8kms.
The heart pounded really fast and i slowed my pace. Now the running was easy from 9km to 12km. After 12th km, the ascent started. It was more difficult than it seemed. Many runners walked the path but undettered by slope , I made my way out. Soon IIT campus and lake side area arrived bringing a new array of energy in me. Running fast and motivating myself by loudly speaking best described me . After 18kms, the run in real bea\came very difficult indeed. I somehow managed till 20 okm to find my father taking videos. I bumped into him and got a 3 second video of mine.
I vividly remember the last few seconds of my run. The pace setter of 2hrs 15minutes was 2inches behind and was pacing well ahead of me and I decided to beat the time. Well We cannot beat the time as it is said but i believe with your courage determinatin and sheer will power, anything is possible. I timed 2hr 14minutes and 55seconds, till date 18/8/16 is my best time indeed.
STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON- 17/01/2016
Standard chartered , a dream I was carrying with myself since august 2015 finally had come to be true.
I had lost qualifying half marathon by 52seconds. But they had another window of opportunity by way of a letter. I wrote them about it and mine letter was selected too. However fate had its own call. The mail of acceptance went to spam and I kept waiting every 2 days a week.
But I wrote another letter to them not loosing hope and they gave me more 2 days. This time I did it and that was how my standard chartered dream had been possible.
There were more than 25000 participants and I was in awe seeing so many people running. John Abraham came to wave us off. It was a great feeling to be a part of such a big event.
The first part which was of 10kms was crossing the Worli sea link and then we ran through walkeshwar to Girgaon chowpatty to church gate and finally halting at CST station. The whole route was an amazing experience . Hundreds of people cheering us standing along side the road made me feel at the top of the world.
After the race, I caught myself up with bad sprain. I was unable to walk and used wheel chair to medical assistance. Collected medal and finally got relief.

A trip to North eastern part of India- kolkotta to silliguri to Darjelling to Guwahati to Shillong to Mumbai
Trips should be sudden and travel should be challenging goes my saying. Such a trip happened to me. I planned to go Kolkotta, the city of Rasagulla.
On Day 1, I headed to Mumbai Airport at 4am , being an early flight and inexpensive as well. My flight took off at 715am and I landed at kolkotta at 9.45am. My first reaction was WOW, seeing all the ambassadors taxi in yellow and white colour. I called up ola cabs as I was used to it. I found ola was just rs4/km in kolkota, even cheaper than in Mumbai. I straight headed to Jain stay in central Kolkotta. Later did I knew that the same place came under world heritage site. The rooms were neat, toilets clean and people were of great help. After having breakfast and bath, I headed to our hardware market. The easiest way was to take a share auto upto metro station and head to chandni chowk metro staion. I was really intimidated seeing the amount of wholesale and retail shops in chandni chowk. It had 4 gates. Each gate long enough to consume a persons whole day. I started my marketing and got the order in the first shop itself. Being in a new city it is difficult to understand who is a good consumer and who iwould be bad debt for us. I carried 9 kgs bag of key board trays, cpu trolley, channel ,locks and auto hinges and started showing to potential customers. To my surprise I was able to bag 80% of customer . Realised the scope for my products was huge. Finally at 5pm I decided to head back after having lunch. I didnot eat or drink since morning .Coming back I straight away hit bed.
Day 2 was more productive . I realised that there were 2 big elephants who ruled the market. I headed to both one by one. By Gods grace and by crunching the profit I took the orders and felt relieved. I also attended hardware market for blind rivet and again 2 big dealers caught my eye. Met both of them but yet to start business with them. After having good dinner, I went off to sleep.
Day 3. I had kept a spare day for tour of kolkotta. Saw magnificent howrah bridge, eden gardens, had a ride of boat went to best munching streets in Kolkotta, missed going to science city being far from city and decided to go to siliguri , a place suggested by our marketing manager. I had no plans to go anywhere but kolkotta but destiny had its own plans. I boarded on the bus to siliguri on the evening at 6 30pm , thinking I would reach next morning but i reached at 11 30am. Reaching I was very tired. Did not have any knowledge of hardware market so decided to go to Jain temple stay but they did not allow solo travellers to stay so i had to stay in a hotel right opposite. After resting for some time and having lunch my bag and I left for marketing. To my surprise there was a huge furniture market in siliguri but the sad part was my products had no demand there. But i made contacts and left for Iscon temple. Coming back, i bought some Darjelling tea and asked for bus timings to head to Darjeling. Wanting to explore local like I decided to go by bus and return by jeep.
Next morning I checked out at 4.30am and left for bus station . The first bus was at 5 30am , so I had to wait for some time. All the brokers try to make you catch jeep. One of them lucrated me calling to other side saying the bus was there and then offered me a seat in jeep. I was furios on him and returned back. The bus arrived and I caught a window seat. I met a local person from villages of Darjeeling and was visiting his own mother in town. Moving my way up, the scenes of Darjelling uphill are mind blowing .
On the left side is the beautiful valley and on the right are all the houses on the hill. After few stops , entered the studends. All white skinned with preety eyes and sweet voice makes them look like a real Darjelling person. I reached top after 3hrs 15minutes.
I looked for an accomdation and found a marvari guest house. It was too cold and unbearable for me. So i bought myself a coat for 1500 bucks . I had my breakfast at the restaurant nearby . Had parathas and sabji. I met a dynamic person from Jaipur on my way. He would be around 70years old . but loved travelling and moreover solo travelling like me.
We gelled up well and planned to tour the city together but things didn’t go that way.
First on my list was tenzing rock. I couldn’t unbderstand the meaning but after climbing the small rock, the person knowledged me that he was the solo traveller who has climbed Mt everest from all four sides. No person on this planet has ever done this . I felt proud to be an Indian at that very moment.
Next I visited Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, also called HMI and Zoo. I was in love with that place and really dreamt of training at the institute. The zoo had large variety of spicies and many were unique enough to be found anywhere
Next I left for Tea gardens being famous.
I saw the tea leaves being grown, then got cliecked some pictures of tea harvesters costume and went to buy tea. The tea vender asks me where was my car? I answered i don’t have any car and have come through share taxi. I tried to make her understand but she did not budge. Finally I went to another vendore. The story repeated but she agreed and understood finally. I drank amazing tea there and then and bought 10packs of Darjelling tea.
Time was rolling and parents were pressuring me to return home. So i took a quick decision and left for siliguri by taxi. I went to railway station of silliguri and took a train express tickedt to guvahati.
An amazing start had to happen with me . I found tens of travellers waiting for tc to find a seat. Everyone was denied a seat by him. I asked another tc and he said his train was due 2hrs later. I said I shall wait and kept reminding him every 10minutes. Finally my hardwork paid off andf he called me on another platform. Offered me a seat to sleep for 400 bucks along with 2 other people. No official ticket was provided as train was running full during that time. This was my first encounter for any such event. I sat on my seat and met 2 women from Shillong, another hill station. The guy who was offered another ticket had to sacrifice his place as someone had come for his original seat. I was scarred but was ready for any situation whatsoever. I talked with girl and her mother and went off to sleep. At 430am, one of the girls wakes me up to say its guvahati. Officially it was about to come at 6 30 am . We jumped from the train taking our luggages. Finally we set ourselves apart as they left for shillong and I was about to explore Guvahati
Unravelling true flavours of Goa-23/3/16
At the dusk of 23rd March 2016, the Wednesday, ten of the most amazing and unique personalities came together on a voyage to the pearl of the orient..GOA. The long weekend supported by the few holidays made the roads jammed but the trip was full of zeal and zest.
We started at 10pm From Mumbai with 5 drivers on board but 2 having the responsibility to help us reach our destination.
One was Nikhil , a proud honda city driver who would not allow anyone , not even his partner in crime to drive his car but carried great driving skills and a very simple ,loveable and peaceful human being in nature and another was shiva...one of a personality we had never met anyone before. The reason being his companion requirement. His weakness was sleep which we learnt about
during the trip. As the trip rolled out and the night came to our laps, all of us started falling asleep just when Shiva voice rose from within to our most patient boy of our group ...chetan. The gujarati quote " shaant paani undu hoi" just suits his personality. With immeasurable patience and gargantuos perserverence , a sweet boy with his sweet smile attracts all those around him. The driver says, " sir, sona ho toh piche chale jao aur kisiko aage bhej do nai toh muje neend aa jaayegi" At first it was a laugh out laughter but one by one Chetan, Hardik and myself shifted to front desk to help Shiva reach us safely.
Finally on thursday afternoon , after a 14 hours journey we managed to reach calangute. Not having the proper direction, we explored almost whole of calangute under the leadership of our love guru..Krunal shah, who nicely sitting of last seat ordered Hardik and chetan to ask guys out in the shops. Hopping and crawling we managed to reach Saldana residency. Naturwise, krunal is a very smart and attractive diamond merchant ...very kind and helpful in nature
Our first encounter with the rooms were amazing. We loved the rooms, the kitchen and the hall. The swimming pool was a love to fall into.
Being hungry , we left for Navratna , onre of the best restaurants as per suggested by our God father in food , Jugal. There has been a sayiing developed these days.
Like marvaris are found in every nook and corner of the world, similarly jugal would have tried every single veg restaurant in town and every restaurant would have tasted the joy of making jain food for him. A truly gem at heart, chartered accountant by profession and truly the closest friend i have ever encountered in my life, Jugals smile would make the day of all who sees and his big heart would win your soul.
Coming back, few of us went for swimming where we played catch catch followed by loads of jokes in rooms with every one.
NExt day morning , we set out at 535am sharp to chapora fort for a glimpse of the first rays of sun though it turned out to be a selfie fort later. We have our most pictures clicked at this famous fort where Dil chahta hai was shooted.
Coming back, we were hungry and ate nice breakfast made by Nikita.NIKITA had made delicious sandwicIhes filled with mayonese , butter, green chutney, cucumber, tomatoes and cheese slice . I myself being so diet folllower couldnt resist eating and ended eating up 2 sandwiches. A great cook, the most bubbly person of the group, full of energy and life combined with sensitivity , humbleness and caring nature best describes her. She has been theh whole and soul of the group and her absence would not have made this trip possible for sure( reference...krunal). Jugal and komal got us warm tea & coffee and they took special care for those drinking coffee without sugar. Coming toKomal, the one which I also call as a champu for reasons secretive in nature, she is queen of goodness. Pure maturity with childlike nature best describes her. The only person to sleep the most in the Goa trip was Komal. However when active, no one could beat her energy. We explored Goa on bikes till evening. Few of us also had privilage to see the places jugal stayed during his past visits.
We had great plans to visit Aguada fort next day but what was about to happen was something very different
Next day , the only person who woke up was Meghana , the most curious girl in our group and the most silent one as well. With a very sharp brain, she was up at 5 30am in the morning and stood right in front of jugal asking to go for fot aguada. He got intimidated at first but being a little awaken few seconds later he enquired her about waking him up. And she says, fort jaana hai naa. But the plan was called off due to lack of quorom.
We decided to visit old goa, its churches, historical places, meuseums and Dona Paula. The road to old goa was buttery and everyone loved driving there. One side was sea and oher were mountains.
We visited old Goa and then left for Dona paula. There we got an opportunity of taking the free boat ride twice before reaching there. Coming back, we all left for baga beach for nice music and chilling . Baga beach was truly an eternal place .Hardik aka gattu was the one who must have enjoyed the most. This guy was sweetest in the group. He must have danced a lot that night. Surati by origin but a heart of diamonds was a pure joy to be with. By and far not seen a guy who would be such positively driven in life. The beach also brought sheesha sessions by priyanka,krunal and gattu. PRIYANKA A teacher by profession, sindhi by birth but not by act was a very generous in nature. An ambivert person with best voice in the group was an amazing friend discovered in the trip.
The next day after having light break fast.
We all left for water sports and were too excited for the same. Sequirium was the beach we opted for due to its tranquility and peaceful nature. All except few left for Watersports. A combo of 1900s was taken which included para sailing, banana ride, jet ski and bumpy ride. We were taken on to the steamer boat and were locked for para sailing. My first experience for the same was super thirlling. Nikita was a bit scared but she showed great bravery and guts and completed the sailing. Other guys did awsome Special mention Meghanas para sailing....as it was one of the scariest to see and looked very dangerous as well. I was given an opportunity to swim till the shore and i jumped off and enjoyed my swim.
We then left for Jet ski... Chetan And I fell down from the ski as well as the bumpy ride which followed. Both the rides were worthy doing. Finally it was banana ride time. The ride was exciting as we all were thrown off in the water. However, in the course of enjoyment, hardik and I lost our scooter keys.
Thanks to Jugal and krunal who made keys for us and allowed us an opportunity to ride back home. I being tired, jugal not willing to go ,komal not fond of casino and Nikhil being left alone , we four stayed back . While rest left for casino.
Finally the trip to Goa came to an end with smiles to all the faces and a much needed corporate break . We headed back after buying cashew nuts, a pair of repaired slippers(komal) and not to forget withou his brothers "ganji". An awsome trip with most beautiful souls comes to a halt or is it the beginning of the new trip? we shall find it in next few months to come
My first run with tomtom-20/3/16
Having my intensity and love for running grow I bought a tom tom watch for myself. It was a big decision as it involved spending 18ooo bucks. But I was thankful to my family as they supported my in this purchase.
Thus on 20th March I left for my 20km run at 7 45 am from zaver road. It was a different feeling as I could keep a check on my pace distance and time. Always motivated me every now and then.
I ran from nahur station to eastern express highway. Cleared bhandup village on my right and 300 metres kanjurmarg signal I took u turn as indicated bt tomtom.
Having run such a long distance after long time made it a bit difficult for me and I was tired after 12km
I decided to not risk my legs and go walking fearing of sprains and cramps.
Tomtom also konked off and I was walking peacefully with a satisfaction of having achieving the commitlent made to myself.
The benefit of running is that it makes the blood flow through your whole body and your face glows like the facial unfolded.
The highest peak of Maharashtra. ...kalsubai
It was Saturday the 5th of July, the day I have been awaiting for long.
The trek to the highest peak of maharashtra was about to begin. At Saturday, 11.30 pm we left from Mulund in a private bus organised by kvo(an organisation who organises trek) to kalsubai between bhandardara and Igatpuri. Kalsubai temple lays at the summit of the mountain peak and we were heading right in that direction. The bus along with another bus from Dadar ,also of kvo headed towards destination. We arrived at kalsubai at around 4.30am on Sunday morning. Sun had not decided to peep out of its window and moon was ready to adopt us in its home. So under the moon lights with strong winds blowing, we all 100 people started hanging out on the roads. It was an excellent experience.
Finally at 6am ,rays of sun touched the earth and we ascended for our climb. At a small hut inside village bara, the base of kalsubai we had a good breakfast with poha and tea.I along with my few friends started at 6.40am sharp
The road up the hill is unbelievable .We walked through lush green grasses,small ponds, waterfalls and a narrow road to ascend the hill. As we approached ahead excitement in all of us was increasing as views from the top was mind blowing. It took us approximately 3 hours and 45minutes to reach the top. The most overwhelming point was when we were climbing and the wind blew with such great acceleration that at one point we felt we would be blown away by it. Inch by inch, moment by moment with each other cracking jokes and motivating each other we reached the top at 10.15am
We visited the temple of kalsubai mata and then sat for lunch. However the wind ruined our plan and we had to head back down to find a much proper climate to eat .Though we had some the Plas bread chutney and apples at the summit as a remembrance of the place.
Almost 50percent of the trek has to be climbed through stairs of metal. Scary but exciting as well. The final stair to the summit is almost 70 degree straight.
We descended at Around 10 45 from the top and we're down by 1 30pm post which we all decided to have a good enjoyment of the water fall
So I along with my friends Harsh, Harshad and vaibhav went dancing in water and had an axing play with waterfall. A glass of Milk with theplas were worth having for stomach. As other people arrived we left for home and reached at around 930 pm
It was one of the best experiences I ever had in my life.
Trek at ulhas valley waterfall-26/7/15
The Sunday , 26th of July was the day of the most thrilling trip of my entire monsoon. Ulhaas valley........one of the beautiful, intimidating and most adventurous trip it proved out to be. It was also the only trek where we descent first and ascend comes later. I woke up at 4 30 am in the morning and left at 5 30 am from Mulund to reach Sion at 6am.
Another trip which was to be a beginning of new friends and new experiences along with a handful of old lads. We left at 6 30 am playing antakshari and reached at 8 30am at khandala.
We were provided Idli and tea in the breakfast after which we headed towards valley. I was under an impression that it would be an easy trek and wouldnt be much of a problem. The start to the descent seemed easy. We cut the water and amidst the falls we narrowed our destination. It was all rocky surfaces to descend and greadually the water made the trek very difficult even to descend. The path was very thrilling. We went through very narrow routes between mud , climbed down through ropes and even through huge water flow.
I was dwarfed by the water fall of ulhas valley. White milky water flowing down with enormous force , impossible for anyone to resist. SO I with few of my friends took a plunge in the water and made an attempt to enter water fall . As expected we all were thrown away by the falls.Then i strategically sat inside water and pushed myself inside which made me successfull. I might have stayed 30seconds in the falls. But that made the whole tiring journey as exciting. After few splashes of water on each other , I came out and ate pomogranates, and. biscutes. I felt quite cold so i marched my trip upwards. The blood flow became fast and i felt better. The ascend was much more easier than the descend. It took us approx 1 hour to ascent while 2,30hr to descend the waterfall. Along the way, we cracked a lot of jokes and completed an amazing and most difficult trek of this season.
Then few people shared their experiences about the trek with the whole group and we headed for lunch. We had variety of things from theplas to bread butter to Dhoklas.
Finally we left for home. The outward journey was much more energetic. We all played killer, dumsheras with each other and left happily for our home sweet home
TREK TO Bedsil
It was the dawn of 13th july 2015. At 6m, I headed for a trek with Kvo group. The journey from strangers to friends thus begun. Having a habit of travelling alone, I headed with this group to Karjat at Bedsil waterfall with a taste of water rappling added to it. we reached at the base at 9am. There was a break where people had vada-pav( if you go karjat and dont have a vada-pav ,you waste half of your journey).
We started heading to water-fall and took us an approx 45minutes to reach the summit. The day was sunny and water fall was a great source of relaxation to all of the travellers. I headed to the water fall and encountered a group of energetic and enthusiastic individuals who later turned to become great friends After having a bath, we watched the first participant go off the cliff for water rappling, He fell down and was badly bruised. Our confidence were at all time low. But minute by minute , second by second seeing people do it successfully, slowly and gradually gathered confidence and then came my turn.
I was excited as well as intimidated by the height. It would be 100fts down. I took a deep breath and hopped off in between the falls with ropes protecting me. I was in awe but the experience was very thrilling. I enjoyed the waterfalls thoroughly and came down with all the excitement in me.
Coming up, i watched my friends perform it and later had theplas, chivdas, and apples with sun smiling at all of us. We headed downwards at 4pm. We halted at karjat corporator office who provided a halt to everyone who came for trekking.
Here we played various games like gold spot, hop on -hop off, kho kho and took a good nap in amidst the grass. After having a blast for 2hours we left for home .
It was indeed a very successfull trip.
Goa trip....... Dhamaal with cousins-17/7/2015
It was the eve of 6th july 2015 when my cousin, kewal and I went to Deepali travels to book a weekend trip from 17th to 19th of july. We enquired about saputara, a famous hill station in state of Gujarat approx. 5hours from Mumbai.
We found some great deals at vaity resort , shilpi resort with approx 1800 bucks pn pp including all 3 course meal-breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were about to finalise on shilpi resort just when an accident occur. Our most elder cousin, Bhavin found a great deal at Goa at the same price in a 5 star hotel.
The temptation to say NO to Goa was next to impossible. However gathering all hopes on saputara trip we went ahead with saputara and confirmed with Arpit , our 4th cousin. Then a bouncer from our naughty kewal came which got me caught out.
He showed the photos of Zury hotel, Goa ( the place where we would stay) It had 2 swimming pools a casino, private beach, huge lawns and much more which some how got me convinced. However, Arpit had already plans of Goa in August which brought us in dilemma. However, thinking for some time , we decided to surprise him with this plan and finalised the plan of Goa from saputara(else Appu woulnt come).
We were 11days away from our Goa trip but we were super excited about it. Bhavin and kewal managed the hotel bookings and I managed the train bookings. However Arpit was told we would catch Amritsar express arriving at 11.45pm to Nashik and he got pretty convinced to that.
The D day finally came and we all met at the Thane station at 11.15pm waiting for konkan kanya express (except Arpit who was waiting for Amritsar express). As the train arrived we all headed to our compartments and Arpit started laughing ( we felt he wanted to go Goa and not saputara), Also it was best day for him as he got himself crowned with most precious chartered accountant degree(C.A)
The train took off and within few minutes of wisecrack, we all doze off.
It was morning 7 15 am when appu and I woke up and being hungry we had idli, mendu wada and upma. We also had cucumber later at 10am. As Sun rose from its bed, it was difficult to resist uneasiness to reach Goa. Train after 2 hour 45min at 12.45pm, an hour late, it reached thivim station.
The sky was clear and sun was smiling with its best face. So we decided to hire bikes seeing climate as well as influence by agents of bikes. But we had the worst fortunes and as soon as we took bikes , it started drizzling. As we were hungry, we had our lunch at ram ratna hotel. Till we were finished, it started raining heavily but somehow we wanted to reach so we ignored the climate and reached the hotel zury which were 8kms away.
We were intimated by the gargantuan entrance with a very pleasant welcome with an orange juice .Then we got the good news.. we were upgraded deluxe rooms to standard rooms as expected by us. Our rooms were very huge with cozy beds, a mini bar , TV and an amazing balcony with 2 chairs with a view of lush green grasses all around it.
Without wasting a moment, we rushed to the swimming pool which lay close to our rooms. We had great fun playing with tennis balls and then arrived back in the rooms.
After resting , we got ready for Casino-Deltin jack it was.
Again our fortunes turned its back on us (in terms of rain). The moment we left the hotel, it started raining heavily. But determined to reach and extra motivation from kewal lead us to Panjim in an hour.
It was first time for me so i was full of anxiety as well as curious. We were taken into a small boat from we were transferred to big ship. The entrance fee were 3500bucks with 5000bucks coin and all food and drinks unlimited . We had dinner and had red bulls and orange juice
Then We came on the main deck where casino was being played. For about an hour, I just watched all the games like roulette, black jack, banker vs player, highest card winner and few more. Finally , i narrowed down to banker vs player and played my first bet of rs.1000 and won. Betting makes you play more and bet more. So i bet more and lost next 5 games continuously and lost all my coins. After few minutes, got the courage and bought 1000bucks coin to which i made 1900 bucks in black jack.
We had some great players like my sibling, Viyat who bet on number 13 in roulette and won 3500bucks in just one go and also kewal who secured his bucks in blackjack and also few like appu (our ca) whose luck didn't turn out well. Bhavin did pretty well though.
Finally a 4am we left from the casino and were back at 5am in hotel bringing an amazing first day to an end.
Breakfast at hotel made us wake up early. We had an option from variety of dishes and chef had also made jain dishes for us like dosa, uttapa and upma added with fruits like apples and oats and cornflakes. It was very filling.
We left for the rooms and i booked our tatkal tickets. I was required to book kanyakumari express leaving at 430 pm but inadvertantly i booked mumbai express at 9 45pm. This was a beginning to tsunami in the house. Our CA brother, Arpit kanadia became hitler to me. His eyes told me everything and seemed upset as he would reach his audit place a bit late.
Post which we went directly to swiming pool where we played with the ball and later we decided to go for the beach. Taking a walk across grasses we went to beach, a white sandy beach with huge waves and strong winds.
We felt very relaxed and then we went directly to jacuzi. The main reception was a very calm and serene place and the staff took us to the jacuzi Where we were made to steam first then take a sauna bath and then an amazing oval shaped tub with hot water were waiting for us. As soon as we sat, srong force of bubbles were started which gave our body all massages and made us feel relaxed.
Coming out , they had a nice leaning chair, where we all took a small nap for 10minutes and then left for our rooms. We then played nice music , thanks to our zebronics speaker and started playing cards. We played black queen, black jack and napoleon. This lasted till 11pm and then hunger caught us . We left for dinner where we were served nice vegetables and jeera rice with soft pasteries in the end. The second day came to an end.
It was an early wake up on our last day. We were already feeling nostalgic thinking about leaving this place. The breakfast was even better that day. We really needed some sleep. So we slept and then the epic moment arrived............my appu ......... sang some beautiful songs not from his words but through his snores. The snores started from slow and gradually increased. It was a moment worth viewing but as it is said every coin has 2 sides, this happiness of mine had side effects too. I uploaded this video in our cousins group to which appuu lost his total control and caught me and started beating me . I was almost strangled. But every cousin had fun . I am sure appu too would be laughing reading this. Then we went for lunch at club Mahindra leaving appu and viyat who wished to make millions out of zury casinos (though at the end it turned out the other way round We had a great lunch (special thanks to support staff and chef as they made us lunch even after kitchen was closed)
Then we came back at 4 30 and the not so supporting bike renter called and asked us to return at 7 30pm . We tried to make him understand but all in vain. So we ignored him.
We had our last few breaths in the hotel and spent loving it every moment. Then came the anger of rain Gods . As soon as we stepped out, it rained heavily and bikes were out of fuel. Somehow managing the fuel under huge rain , we left for 8km ride to madgaon station.
Then we called renter guy who was not in a good mood(probably as he coulnt go outing with his wife), Here took the birth of our thunder storm......... kewal bhai. As soon as he arrived, arguments got heated from both sides and everyone started proving other side wrong. Our thunder storm had an upper hand at every stage but it was important to keep him from banging other . So i played a role of mediator, Kewal as a thunder storm and our appu bhaii was enjoying the view as a cool guy. Finally, he deducted 300rupees and we reached station. There we were informed that trains are 2 hours late. SO we had dinner there and awaited for the train. Kewal was still in pain of losing the love of his heart( room of zury hotel). Finally the trained arrived at 11.15pm and we all slept off being very tired. The train had a great speed and we reached at 10 30am in the morning. This was the best trip with cousins and we all had loads of fun.
Trip to china and hong kong
Last week, I had an opportunity to visit China for business purpose. The journey commenced In Air India flight AI 314 from Mumbai to Hongkong via Delhi. Both the flights were amazing. The service of Air India was amazing with delicious food and spacious flight space. My whole impression of Air India changed in a single trip. Star alliance group has turned the brand upside down.
We landed at hongkong airport at around 8am in the morning. From where we had 3 options.
a.Take a limo to Guangzhou- 220 yuan
b. Take a bus to Guangzhou- 180 yuan
c. Take a train to shenjhen and then go to Guangzhou- 110 yuan
We opted option a.
It was a long journey of 6hours and coming to hotel we were dead tired and hungry as well. The hotel was huge and rooms were great. We paid 1000bucks per person per night. The hotel name- Dragon pearl Hotel.
Food- Grocery opposite- milk and fruits
Food is a big problem so we took snacks, ready to eat vegetables and upma.
We made upma, tea and then slept.
Later in the evening, we went to explore to city centre of Guangzhou( capital of guangdong province). City cente is called as Tin jian. The retail markets were quite cheap. We bought travel bags worth rs 900 and rs 1700 respectively.
Also got speakers, bag etc at very inexpensive rates.
The next day we went to guangzhou hardware market. It was a really big market with more than 1000 wholesalers catering the market of china and others. The day went off and had dinner at hotel sai sagar, an Indian restaurant . I also good great jain food.( famous with name sharmaji)
The same night we left off with our cousin Nirav bhai joining us to jie yang for factory visit. We took a 120 yuan ticket per person to jie yang. To our bad luck, the bus did not go till jie yang and we had trouble understanding mandarin. With the help of local Indian agent Alex, We conversed with the bus driver and after 4 and half hour journey in the middle of night at 4 am , we were dropped at the highway bypass.
Luckily we got a cab for 200 yuan. Again things were messy as he didnot understand the place we wished to go. Alex came to rescue. But driver still took us to wrong place twice and finally he dropped us at proper hotel.
Hotel was called seven something. It was good and we relaxed till 10am.
Chinese people has the best hospitability ever. The factory manager came to pick us up and took us in their bmw to their factory which was approximately an hour away. They offered us chinese herbal tea and even lunch.
They genuinely took a lot of pain for lunch. As they knew about us being vegeterian , they brought all the leafy vegetables.
At first i laughed but was deeply impressed by the efforts they took for us. We had a few bited with chopstick. Later i had their rice, (very healthy ) , different way of making. We waved them good bye and visited another factory.
Tea is the speciality of chinese people. Their tea is very healthy and removes all the toxins from the body.
It can be judged by seeing how thin they are and one more amazing thing is , you cannot know their age seeing their face.
Every women looks young and that is just unbelievable.
Later at night, we met brad ,,,another outstanding personaltiy. He had a glow with hard work put to make his empire.
Had a real learning experience seeing the determination to work so late.
The fourth day was easy going. We visited couple of more factories and then caught a bus to guangzhou. We visited a factory at foshan and then left to hongkong on the fifth with NIrav bhai. The evening was waiting for us at home with bhel and canopies made by Jyoti bhabhi. They were really delicious added with love by her. Had a good night sleep.
Next day, we went to visit the peak, one of the tourist destinations in hongkong. It was very good. Later in the evening, we had a tour of his society which looked like a seven star hotel with 2 swimming pools- cold and warm water. A tennis court, squash court, badminton court and huge lawns and garden to roam around. We then went to Derasar and below that had low sugar ice creams one of karela and other of choclate brownie. Had fun eating them. Then they showed us all the shops for pruchase. Specially brands of perfumes which were duty free.
Coming home had pav bhaji and off to sleep.
Next day, we went to see the buddha temple, very famous one in hongkong.
We took a train to central from where we walked down to another station , took a orange line to last stop.
From there, we took cable cars with stunning views and breathtaking experience of cable cars with up ward steep of 70 degrees. The temple was beautiful and felt at peace. We came back and returned at 2 30pm. Had lunch and left for our flight back at 6pm.
The journey was memorable and every bit was full of life.
PLUNGE INTO vidharbs- 7/2/2016
Most of my trips happen to be backpacking sort of trips. I never intend them that way but they turn out to be one. This time it was Vidharbh area of Maharashtra. After completing my thane half marathon on Sunday, i was planning to rest a couple of days due to ankle sprain. However, nature had its own plans.
On Tuesday morning, I decided to take up a sales trip and here I was planning the areas in my office. I looked up on Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval , Akola , Amravati and Nagpur. However, I had a time constraint of 5 days as Devils circuit, an obsacle race was scheduled the next Sunday.
Spending some time, I narrowed it down to Aurangabad as my first destination. Reason being Ahmed-nagar was near from Mumbai and I would possibly reach at around 4 am providing me greater challenge to find a place to stay. At 4pm, I booked Neeta volvo for rs600 bucks which was due to arrive at 11.30pm.
Day 1- Aurangabad
I boarded the bus, waved off my parents and went into a new journey of learning of my life. I got down at Baba petrol pump bus station in Aurangabad at 7 30am and straightaway called up youth hostel to ask how far it was. To my good luck, it was just few minutes away and I reached hostel. It was an old hostel, not very well maintained but rooms were clean, neat and hygenic. I checked in and then after resting for an hour left for my potential clients. After completing my work in the evening, I went to the room where I met 2 lads, one from Japan and other from South Korea. Both of them were travelling since 2month and loved visiting India. They had visited, Amritsar, Delhi, Rishikesh, Himachal, Vishakappnam, kanya-kumari , Rajasthan and few more. On asking about their experience and reason for staying so long, both of them said, India is so beautiful . It keeps surprising us at every new place we visit. The korean guy added that his country was very small and appreciated the beauty of India. I then left for a mall in aurangabad called frogen mall and watched a movie- Dead pool. Finally the next day I checked out and left for my next destination Jalgaon.
Day 2- Jalgaon
I boarded the bus at 9 am and reached jalgaon at 12.30pm. I had no idea about the stay as had researched only for Aurangabad. Luckily I knew the right questions. Is there any Gujarati hostel, youth hostel or a good place to stay and answer came Dada wadi. It was a few kms away situated on the highway.
I did not mind and asked him to take me there. He charged me for his sevices but as I reached Dada wadi, I was in love with the place. Right in the middle lay Jain temple surrounded by green lawns and rooms at the end. There was absolute silence and peace and one would never like to leave the place.
I checked in and was surprised to find that they did not charge for stay. Whatever the traveller wished to give can give. No compulsion from their side.
I took a hot bathe and the left for exploring another market which turned our to be of a great potential for business. After meeting the clients, I came back and relaxed myself in the garden lawn and planned my next day.
Day 3- Bhusaval
It was 25km from Jalgaon, so I decided to stay at jalgaon and have an experience of local transport. To my surprise, transport were much better and cozy and reached at 10am. After having beakfast near bus stand named aakar restaurant, completed my work and came back to Jalgaon. I was very hungry and found a nice pure veg restaurant besides Dada wadi. The food was tasty with typical homelike essence. And Finally came the time to bid adieu to Jalgaon.
Day 4- Akola
As it is said, when in doubt about any job, it is better to do it than not to . This way it provided you the experience which comes in handy in life. My travel to Akola was one such experience. I was told it would take around 4hours to reach and the market would be nice. So i planned and caught bus at 7am from jalgaon . It was 11am and i was nowhere near Akola. It took me approximately 6hours to reach and it was super hot . I caught an auto and kept my luggage in temple and went for my job. I dreamt of taking 10orders to meticulate the 6hours journey. However, i coul not even get one. Also, I coulndt find a person saying this product has any demand. I was broken down for few mintues but i was okay as it was a good experience for me. Finally I caught a bus from luxury bus stand( name given for outstations buses) and reached Mumbai the next morning.
Conclusions and few details
My total expense was around rs4000/ majority of them approx. 1400 bucks were spent only on to and fro from Mumbai.
In Aurangabad, poonam and marvah are 2 best restaurants. Ajanta and Ellora are the places worth going if one has time.
Jalgaon famous for its runners, has developed a lot overall. There are many cottages available near railway station if you are finding cheap accomodation.
Bhusaval is a relatively small place but has a good market potential.
Akola is smallest of all. There is only one good restaruant .Its near old kapda market. A famous tirth called Antarikshji, is 68kms from Akola. A must recommended for all the travellers
HIRANDANANI THANE RUN....ONE OF THE CHALLENGING HALF MARATHON-24/02/2016
The flow of marathon runs was at its full fledge in Mumbai as well as in me. So i registered for my 3rd half marathon in Thane. People said it was the toughest among all, the reason being it was an uphill race and somehow i was fond of challenges .
There were thousands of participants all ready to run their half marahton. I believe 50% race is achieved through the energy and vibes all around. All set for run and off we went 3...2...1. and go... My beginning was not good as I had pain in my leg and i was expecting a sprain post race. My first 5kms were difficult running. My heart wasnt in control, legs gave up and was even feeling uneasy. It was easy to quit but I decided to change my focus as I normally do during my runs in the event of emergencies. Its a secret weapon I carry with myself. So I started focussing on the fast runners and thought how awsome speed control have they got. Also focussed on happy minds spreading love and motivating words around. Moment by moment , I crossed the barrier of physical tiredness. Met a guy from Powai who use to train by himself like me. We covered 5-7kms together. Finally the turn came for the downhill .
The downhill has its own excitement and challenges. The speed increased but heart pounded faster. But running and cracking jokes with my new buddy it became more easier. I realised its all abut fooling your mind and things fell in place like the famous dialgoue from 3 Idiots “ Allllllllllll issssss wellll”
I wallked for about a km coming down on flat road as I felt high chances of sprain in my leg. And off i ran my last 700 metres with easy and comfy. It was a run which brought face to face with myself and my abilities.
The passion for endurance inspired me to try something new. That was when I registered for Devils circuit. It was a different challenge altogether. A 5km run after facing all the obstacles which were unique in itself.
The day started at 4am when I called up ola cab and the guy turned me down by cancelling the trip. I was immediately replaced by a new cab and I took him to panvel , actually out of panvel. He asked me extra charges for toll which I refused and the argument heated . But it was soon solved and I prepared myself for the race.
I remember my first obstacle of jumping over three consecutive 7foot walls. Next I came across floating cubes in the water . It was a difficult obstacle. 50% participants got stuck at this obstacle. I cleared it at my 3rd attempt. It was a great feeling to accomplish it.
Next I came across the hanging challenge on ring above water. Looking at it seemed like a cake walk, but turned out to be the most difficult one.
90% of the participants failed in this test including me. I tried almost 14times and still wished to carry it more. However the body failed to support me and i decided to move on.
Next in line was the monkey obstacle as i call it. One had to climb up the rope without any wall support and ring the bell at the top. My hands were in no position to handle my body weight. After trying a couple of times , i decided to move on.
After this, all other obstacles were achievable for me. First was side walk along the nets followed by climbing the nets and getting turned upside down.
Then there was a beautiful obstacle where there were logs immersed in water and we had to walk on our knees.
Last obstacle was walking through ice cold water with huge ice cubes and ice sheets in it. It was freezing cold but the experience was extraordinary.
Finally the race concluded and i was out with flying colours. It was one of the best experiences ever .
RUN INDIA RUN 2016
IITB MONSOON RUN -28/8/2016
On 27th, I decided to take up this run with the sheer curiosity of seeing the campus.
Here I was standing in the gymkhana at 6 15am. I was nervous for my leg. My toe finger were in stress but I focussed on the cure part and thought it would rather get cured and guess what the mind power rocked , it actually healed .
The run was in 2 phases. The first was of 3kms which was the most beautiful of all. We ran amidst the forest and to the side lay vihar lake. I just couldn’t have missed this run.
In the start I stumbled a bit with speed and heart thumps but after 5km, running was effortless.
As we started running the second face, the difficult path started to appear. It was a uphill run and my speed declined drastically watching the path. After decline, there came another decline which lasted for about 2kms. It was very steep , so I thought the uohill would be pretty difficult and it was but not for me. This time I focussed on my feet and ground. Thats whenI realised how our brain works. The speed of my legs didnot decline and I was running very smoothly. The brain understood the view. If we saw hill, as I did in the first time it structs our legs to go slow and subconsciously we tend to reduce our pace but with the sheer alteration of focus the result was very different. I timed 5.90min/km though the official timing showed something different.
Overall it was a great run. We had some awesome pics clicked at the end.
