case study - sitesmart 1 2 3 4 Client Background This was a job that I put my hand up for while working at Sensis Yellow Pages. SiteSmart was the current Content Management System that was being introduced and used for website creation and this job revolved around the creation of a visual sales tool that could be used to show customers the websites that Yellow Pages could deliver. Project Overview The first part of the brief was to create a multiple page document with interactivity and secondly, to create a document that could be used on an iPad. Restrictions to the Sensis Apple Certificate prevented app creation, so a workaround was devised to create an interactive multiple page PDF document in an application called Adobe InDesign. The PDF document could then be loaded onto an iPad and a shortcut created so that Sales could easily access the PDF file. Process and Development Images 1 through to 3 show various states of evolution that the overall design of the page went through. Image 1 shows a menu on the left hand side and the right hand side has been left blank for the content of each site to be displayed. Image 2 shows an alternate version where the navigation panel on the left has been deleted and navigation is available via a swipe option. At this point, the initial layout had been established. Image 3 shows the new and improved left hand side panel navigation. It is improved because it was found that there was so much more content to be added than first anticipated. To accommodate additional pages of information, the content on the side panel scrolls up and down. This means that the navigation can hold an infinite number of pages. Image 4 shows the final layout design of the navigation on the left hand side, the Yellow Pages branding strip on the right hand side and updated visuals on the iPhone and computer. vinyl signage - the rose hotel vinyl signage - west end hotel External Illuminated Signage at Coles, Rose Bay Specifications 1 set of neon illuminated pan channel letters for Coles Letters Fabricated 2mm aluminum (Back and returns) Letters with painted 2pak finish Faces 4.5mm flat opal acrylic faces, overlaid with vinyl Neon 15mm 30 M.A. neon illumination Transformer Remote secondary wiring inside metal raceway Colours Arlon Translucent Vinyl 500 Series & Apple Red 5519QM Mounting detail a. The artwork is too complex for vinyl production, so the artwork was printed out on a large format printer and adhered to the exhibition panel system (this is the Syma panel system). All panels and fascia boards were produced in-house at the Sydney office. The work was carried out at Morten Exhibition and Events, Alexandria office based in Sydney. The Ballina franchise wanted to have printed advertising to be included in the Ballina and Coffs Harbour print directories. Online advertising was to be included for the Northern Rivers area. The images above show the design for both the online advert (image 1) and the print avert (image 3). The above examples show designs of different types of adverts for different mediums and following a style guide so that logo, design elements like leaves and headlines, colours and fonts are used consistently across all advertising. Despite being an established business since 1997, they did not have any branding or logo to supply. Project Overview The brief was to create a website and logo that would form part of a strong branding strategy for their marketing and advertising. Process and Development The first step was to design a number of concepts to gauge what level of design the client thought would appeal to their target market. The client chose design 3 which is a more business driven design and reflects a professional image as opposed to the image of a neighbourhood dentist. The client signed off on the logo design with minimal changes to colour and decided to use it as the prominent image on their website. The client was so pleased with the result that they has used the design in all aspects of the business including business signage, stationary, screen savers, desktop backgrounds, Facebook and Google Plus pages. I recently revisited the website and while it has been updated to reflect recent changes, the initial logo and branding design that I created has been retained. alexander drive clinic dental case study - addc large format banners Client Background The Homemaker Shooping Centre in Castle Hill refurbish - 2005 Project Overview There were many different types of signage created for this job, wayfinding and information, but these are examples of large format digital prints.
