Everyone went in the living room except Oliver who held back Philip. “I havesomethingto show you in the attic,” said Oliver. Chapter 3: The Secret Philip followed Oliver up the stairs. Oliver reached for the ceiling once they gotupandaladder came slicing down. First Oliver went up the stairs and then Philip. When Philip got up in the attic he didn’t see anything different. He saw everything that was supposed to be in an attic. Philip said “I am confused. What did you bring me upherefor?”ThiswasthefirsttimePhilipwasinthisattic.Itwasabit bigger than average attics. It was really messy for an attic. Therewerepapers, arustymotorcycle, abike and other sorts of things. “Let me get this straight, first of all don’t tell Samantha,” said Oliver. Oliver walked to the pile of papers on the floor and reached for them. He grabbed something from under the papers and walked back to the door of the attic where Philip was standing. In Oliver’s hands were two shining blue crystal rings. “What are tho--- I told you already Oliver I will not getmarried,”saidPhilip. “These aren’t your wedding rings, these are time travelers,” said Oliver. “Ha ha veryfunny,”saidPhilip sarcastically. “I’m serious, watch this Philip.” Suddenly Oliver gave one toPhilipandstoodtallandsaid firmly “Manchester, England 1941.” He put his index and middle finger on one of the rings. Suddenly, there was a loud bang and blue sparks flew everywhere and Oliver was gone Philip looked around. Philip’s jaw dropped low. Seconds later there were blue sparks and Oliver was back. “How did you do that?!,” asked Philip astonished. “I told you these rings are time travelers,” saidOliver.Oliverexplained how he discovered this amazing thing. “The government sent me to Saudi Arabia to work in a lab in a dessert. I brought all of my gear with me. MyseconddaythereIwasexperimentingwithasnakespecies when I noticed my sensing device had tracked something a mile away. The next morning I went out to find what it tracked. I dug for three days and then I found it, “andomia” crystals. Chapter 4: November 22, 1963 “I know this sounds crazy but we’re going to save JFK,” said Oliver. What! How?” said Philip like he had just saw a human face with a donkey form. “Just watch and learn,” said Oliver. Oliver explained how tousethering.“Togosomewhereyoujustputyourindexandmiddlefingeronthecrystal and say the date, time and place of where you want to go.Ifyouwanttocomebackyoudoubletapyour ring. Let's go try and get through security and say to JFK, hey we’re from the future you’re going to get shot in alibraryinabout15minutes,”saidOliversarcastically.“Areyoukiddingme, that would cause everyone watching to have a heart attack. “I know let’s call the police,” suggested Philip. “That’s not a bad idea and I know exactly what to say” said Oliver. They found a phone booth nearby and luckily Philip had some coins. Oliver put the coins in and dialed 911. The policeman on the phone asked what was the matter. Oliver responded in a voicethatsoundedlikehewaspanicking.“Hi,I overheard someone saying that they were goingtotrytoshootthePresident.”Suddenly,Oliverheardthe same man shouting “This is a code 2485,Irepeatthisisacode2485”andheardsirensinthebackground of the police station. Then they saw him, the murderer go intothelibrary.“That’shim,”shoutedOliver,LeeHarveyOswald.” Now they heard sirens. Hundreds of them everywhere. North, south, east and west. “They’re too late,” said Oliver heartbroken. “Which means we’re going to take matters into our own hands,” said Philip brightly pointing to a guy with a camera. “I have an idea, said Philip, follow me.” They both walked quickly tothecameramanandaskediftheycouldborrowhiscamera.Luckilyhewasaverynicemanand lent it to them. Oliver and Philip raised their arms and shouted “He tried to kill the President,” with their fingers pointing at Oswald. One of the police officers asked if they had anyproofandtheyshowed him the picture. Next, Oswald was arrested and Philip and Oliver went back home. Philip went to his house thinking about where he would go next.
