As the world becomes more and more fast everyday due to new technologies, it is becoming difficult for university students to go to an actual library and spend time searching for books. At the end of the semester it becomes more difficult for those students to study in the library, as it is often crowded and there would not be vacant space at certain durations of the day. Students would not always find the book they are in need of, due it being occupied, borrowed, damaged or unavailable. Expanding the library is a negative choice as it is very costly and would take much time. The idea of this project is to provide a solution for these problems, and will provide a convenient service for students around the clock.
1.2 Problem Statement
The main problem is the availability of the library resources and the time range that the library can be accessed at.
The problems are more emphasized in the following points:
Library often is open for a limited period of time,
Time is spent searching for books,
Lack of library space and resources,
Lack of analysis reports about the library usage.
1.3.1 Significant of the project
Students always find themselves in the urging need to go beyond course content and seek additional books, journals, these & dissertations that they depend on to magnify their knowledge and excel.
This project will fulfill the need of a swift 24/7 access to the library, which would save time and effort by accessing the library and overcome the disappointment of discovering that the library has closed.
The project will also provide a solution for the necessity of having quick answer to student’s question and notes by creating an interactive phase between them and the instructors.
1.3.2 Expected benefits and the beneficiaries of the projects
E-Libraries being significant benefits to the student through the following:
Improved information sharing,
To provide a new way of finding information e.g. Searching and browsing by the title, author, or topic,
To provide analysis reports, those are not available for printed collections.

1.4 Aims and objectives
The project aims to provide the students with a convenient library services and helps the head of library in the decision making when updating the database.
Make the library resources available 24/7,
Save time spent in searching and reviewing of the books by facilities search methods,
Provide the head of library with analysis reports about the library usage.
The methodology used in realizing the solution is Object Oriented Analysis & Design.
1.6 Deliverables and outcomes
The website will be designed and implemented to provide online access to the library resources and a statistical report about the usage.
