Bio for Interim CIO/CTO/PROJECT MANAGER

This interim CIO/CTO has an extensive track record of building outstanding teams and directing all aspects of Information Technology for large, fast moving firms. He most recently has been providing advisory services to companies in the Investment Management, Banking, and IT Services industries. He has been an advisor and early stage investor in the launching of three investment management firms, three management consultancies, three IT services firms, and five commercial websites.
He functioned as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for BIO tech firm, a young technology company delivering solutions for authentication and test proctoring to business, educational, and testing organizations.
At a large financial services firm, this individual initially ran all Technology and then all Systems Development. He worked with each business line to develop systems strategies and implement new or upgraded platforms to support expansion of the business. The platforms are still in place and now support $1.9 Trillion in assets under management and $4.9 Trillion in assets under administration. He worked closely with the Chairman and Head of HR to successfully decentralize systems development into the business units. He then became CIO for the Brokerage Group of companies. He also created and ran a Business Analysis group that acted as internal Consultants, developing the business cases and strategies for the startup of the Insurance, Credit Card, Advisor Sold Funds, Charitable Gift Trust, Custody, and Personal Trust business lines.
For another large financial services firm, he initially joined as CTO and developed a Technology Strategy to resolve service level issues and provide stability, scalability, and redundancy by building and moving processing to two new Operations/Phone/Data Centers serviced by a private Network built with New England Telephone. next held assignments directing systems development projects for the Mutual Fund, Retirement, Administration, and Investment Management business units. He was assigned to the Mission 2000 Strategy project where he worked with a senior task force to chart the future for the company’s service delivery. The strategy enabled this firm to grow assets four fold and improve profitability and service quality.
As a Consultant and Partner at a Management Solutions firm, he worked with a senior team of experts to develop a Collateral Management Strategy for one of the largest Custodial Banks and provide guidance to several asset management firms after the financial crisis of 2008-2009. This team researched the new Collateral Management requirements, regulations, system needs, and held discussions with JP Morgan Chase, BNY Mellon, SSB&T, Citibank, Brown Brothers Harriman, DTCC, Clearstream, Euroclear and several large asset management firms to develop a Collateral Management Knowledge Base for use in consulting and training engagements.
As a Consultant and Partner at a Financial Consulting Group, this individual worked on strategy projects for clients in the mutual fund, investment banking, and retirement processing businesses. As a Consultant and Partner, he worked on IT Benchmarking, Expense Studies, and IT Strategy assignments for CIOs and C-Level management at large firms.
This talent has a B.S. degree in Business Economics from the University of Bridgeport with post graduate work there towards an MBA in MIS. Systems Engineering, Field Engineering, Electronics, and Telecom training at IBM, USAF, and RCA Institute.
