Please read the chapters for each week so you have a sense of how children
develop, grow, and learn. At the end of each chapter there is a summary, section for further reading, suggested activities, sometimes charts or illustrations, review section, key terms, and premium websites for understanding child development.
My suggestion is to read through the chapters quickly for the week and mark anything you think is significant. The mid-term will be 10 essay questions chosen from chapters 1-13 (I will let you know which chapter the essay question comes from). Since there will be only 10 essay questions you will need to develop your answer completely. The Final exam will be the same format, 10 essay questions from chapters 14-31. I mainly want you to think about what you have read and learned from the textbook and develop a thoughtful answer. The class is fast pace but should be very informative for your teaching goals. Please print this off so you have it for a reference as to due dates for assignments. I will also send an announcement each week on the required assignments and anything that is due. Please let me know if I can help you in anyway. Remember "Everyone starts with an "A". Welcome to my class!!
