Kids can download Kodu on their personal PC’s for free with parental consent.
If parents choose not to have kids participate in the research study, kids can still participate in afterschool club.
Ben Franklin kids can use XBOXs outside of Kodu afterschool- the scheduling is up to teachers.
Next steps: Discuss using afterschool in 6-8 week curriculm. Discuss sharing results more broadly across school district. University of Washington Education department and other groups doing trials will share data and curriculum, so good if we can encourage direct collaboration across sites, and get feedback on process.
