“You can do anything you set your mind to, don’t hold back,” these are words Eric would tell his younger self if given the opportunity. “I don’t regret anything, but there are things I’d redo.”
Eric has been very busy with his work and is often invited to do the things he loves such as rides motorcycles, though his kids come first “If they aren’t interested in it, I’m not interested in it.”
The Man behind the Stadium
Eric Perestuk is a normal, American Household dad. Growing up in New York, Eric faced all the challenges many teens face today. Some of his challenges were even faced in the work field as some of his coworkers picked on him for being “brownie”. This name was given to those who were always kissing up to the boss and always did what the boss wanted and more. These names never bothered Eric; he knew from the start what his passion was. He wanted to be the man in charge of everything engineering. He loved to work and always wanted to one-up whatever he was told to do. “If I was told to pick up 7 stones, I picked up 8,” said Eric as I sat down with him, “I was always the one to volunteer to work holidays.” Eric easily portrays the traits of a good hardworking man. Eric is like every other human on this planet and gets down on himself when he fails. Over the years, especially when growing up he found ways to cope with these failures. “If you’re the guy cleaning the bathroom there’s no problem with that, just clean the bathroom better than anyone else.” He always told himself that he needs to do everything he can to not only meet but exceed the expectations of others.
In the end of it all Eric has found a home with the Atlanta Braves. In this job he is the man in charge and the one to run the field, everything from the; lights, to the HVAC systems, to the maintenance. He is proud of what he as accomplished and has nothing but love for the life he is living.
Experience of field
A lot of getting a job like Eric is a lot about right place at right time. Another way is to come up from the ground floor or the lower areas. This way is harder and less popular among young people.
“You never know where your opportunities are coming from”
“I praise those super-moms. Those are the women who work and manage their social life.” Eric views woman equal, if not better than men. “If you do it the best in the company than you have my respect and you’re the one I want to learn from.”
Mr. Perestuk and his family do their best to blend in with everyone else. Eric doesn’t get a lot of time with his family, especially with the offseason which may come to of shock to many. Most of the offseason is setting up and preparing for the next year. He and his family at times wish he were home more but are saving memories for retirement.
