People nowadays have to admit that they will not be able to live without Smartphone. T he dependence of Smartphone is much higher than we have imagined. Smartphone will have certain negative effect to people's life if it goes too far. Wherever we go, we can easily find that people are holding their Smartphone and hardly ever communicate with each other while using it. Using Smartphone seems to be the only way to pass the time. People even have to check their phone frequently without any purpose, or they will feel jittery. Smartphone marketing is getting bigger and bigger, new games and applications are inducing us to use them. Especially for young adult, they are not able to control themselves from playing Smartphone. Slowly they will be addicted to Smartphone, and it will no longer cause to neglect their studies and even commit a crime.
However, young adult who are addicted to Smartphone do not think about it seriously. Through this awareness campaign, we hope to let them know how it is dangerous and negative.
Statement of the Problems
In order to let them know the danger of Smartphone addiction, we should make a advertisement about Smartphone addiction. The advertisement is required to be original, and be educational for the target audience.
Target audience: All the people who are using smart phones, especially for the young adult.
The advertisement is wanted to have the similar effect as on television since it should have high quality.
The advertisement must be able to let people consider about the use of smart phones after watching, which can prove the advertisement is useful to the target audience.
The advertisement should be original, following the rules of working.
The advertisement must include the makers ’ own voice so that it will not be uninterested for some younger audience to watch.
The advertisement will have its pathos, logos and ethos.
The aim of the advertisement is to let people remember it deeply and realize they should not take wrong actions, what they ’ d better to do as well.
The time should be in 1minutes.
It cannot use bad word in the video in order to show our target audience.
Brainstorming and Research
Rachel: Our TV Advertisement is a 1-minute video, during this short time we have to transfer our deep information to the target audience. Usually in TV advertisement, they would rather use some gorgeous CG to make it. I f we can a dd computer graphics , that would be nice. We can say “ Smartphone makes people feel like being close with who are far away from them, but in real life Smartphone makes our distance of the heart farther. ” It is not a movie, and we might not need a strong story line, so it can be abstract . T he most important is, our advertisement should fit our target audience, and it must impress them deeply and give them an impact.
Eagle: The advertisement is wanted to have the similar effect as on television since it should have high quality. The advertisement must be able to let people to think after watching, which can prove the advertisement is useful to the target audience. Jim: It is a short video for about 1 minute we do not have too much time to show a long story or lots of information. So that the best way to do is take many important pieces of a story that audience can understand. It can make our advertisement finish in 1 minute and people can understand what we are trying to say.
Winnie: The maximum time of our TV advertisement should be 1 minute. TV advertisement effect people a lot because it is popularization and easy for people to accept. Like in our daily lives, we always see some advertisements break into shows. And we always see some public service advertising on CCTV on prime time. It always last for a period of time, it could be short but vivid and also easy for people to understand and remember. We should show the harm of excessive use of Smartphone in our TV advertisement. Let people seriously understand the harms. I think one important thing of our TV advertisement is it should be perceptual intuition, can stuck in people ’ s mind.
Rachel: “The term camera angle means slightly different things to different people but it always refers to the way a shot is composed. Some people use it to include all camera shot types, others use it to specifically mean the angle between the camera and the subject. We will concentrate on the literal interpretation of camera angles, that is, the angle of the camera relative to the subject. ” High angle, low angle, bird ’ s eye and slanted, these are all camera angle that will be used while taking video.
Winnie: How to Create an Effective TV Advertisement

Eagle This advertisement is not wonderful enough since the story line is simple. Winnie Good! Rachel Background music is good, theme is also good, but story can be improved
Refining and Redesign
I dub the voice in our advertisement. Because our team members said they were not available during the holiday, we cannot retake the scene.

Overall, there is some pity left behind. For our TV advertisement, we decide Eagle as the main actor at first and I remind him taking video after school over and over again, but he left the school without any words. I was disappointed at their attitude; they don ’ t regard it as a group work. If they really care about it, they should have asked me how this project is going even if only once.
