These are not logged hours but the actual full exhaust system and power commander took about three days to arrive.
I spent in total about 30 minutes in home depot and sears combined to get some necessary tools.
Getting ready t0 work
I know this is going to sound un-true but this box was a pain and it took forever to get these pieces out.(At least 30 minutes)
The main reason why was because of the packaging they used to protect the exhaust. It was like some type of spray Styrofoam that made this so difficult.
Removing the old exhaust
This is me removing the first few bolts from the headers.
Because I’m installing a full system the entire old exhaust had to be removed.
This itself took about an hour. (Just the headers)
Mostly because dealing with rusty header bolts and not having the right tools don’t mix very well
Old exhaust Finally off
The comparison between the two is almost astounding
On the left we have the old rusty stock headers, mid pipes, and catalytic convertor.
On the right we have the brand new Yoshimura headers and mid pipes.(The best thing about this exhaust is that it got rid of the heavy catalytic convertor)
After me and my facilitator spent a good hour on the rest of the exhaust, we began to work on installing the brand new one.
You are probably wondering what the difference is between the two, well the old exhaust was stock from the headers all the way down to the catalytic convertor and this was holding back the performance a ton.
Installing the New exhaust
*All of these pictures are post install
The new exhaust that we will be putting on is a Yoshimura r-55 race fit exhaust.
This part was not nearly as hard but we had to wait a few days to continue because I needed new gasket seals and I had to get a rubber mallet.
Other than that the install was pretty straight forward.
