What the civil rights struggle means to me
By Jennifer James
What the civil rights means to me
The Civil Rights Struggle Means a lot to me. It means a lot to me because now colored people can be treated fairly. Our water fountains can look as good as the white people’s look.
What did the civil rights do for us?
The Civil Rights Struggle let us sit where ever we want to sit on the bus. We do not even have to give up our seats for people if we do not want to. We can sit by our friends that are white. Black people may have white people in their family, and they will not have to be separated from each other.
We all get treated fair
Black and white people can get the same education at schools , in the same class -rooms. We are now free. No one has to argue or fuss about how we get treated, because we all now get treated equally. This is what the Civil Rights Struggle means to me.
