September which was a 21 day period returned a volume of 367 vehicles .Overall daily output performance averaged 17.5 vehicles per day .

Outlook – October
Production – Re- introduction of the Caddy build will commence in September with volumes scheduled at 15- 20 units per week. The new Custom SWB wedge will also commence production build in the period at the rate of 5 units per week. John White will join us in the position of Production Manager responsible for Horizon and Connect manufacture.
Engineering – Custom Independence LWB testing will take place over two weeks in September covering various seating configurations. The Taxi development programme continues with external support from Control developments and plastic trim design specialists. The new Horizon plastic diesel tank will go on test in Glasgow airport taxi`s which will be a good test bed to prove out performance. An improved specification FAP tank valve will be introduced on the HORIZON build with high expectations of eliminating existing delivery problems.
Materials – David Rankin will be introducing a pilot KAN BAN card replenishment system with FI –FAB fabrications on parts supply and introducing Bar- coding in the supply chain both internally and externally.
People – The search for a Quality Engineer continues and interviews will take place during the month to fill this key position .Team leadership training is also scheduled in the period to develop front line supervision.
