Digital Multimedia Home is based on nine devices.
All devices connected together in one local network and provides many usable things from server side services to multimedia content playing, managing and downloading. Using UPnP tehnology I can do many things from my android smartphone, start playing music or movie, or manage main server to download some multimedia (movies or music, etc any data) to my NAS (Network Attached Storage) and plays it on NMT (Network Multimedia Tank) or stream directly from smartfhone YouTube app to TV.

1st device is Asus Eee BOX B202
I use this simple desktop solution as a server running Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Use this server as router, for routing internet connection for all my devices in my LAN. I use DHCP Server to gives IP addresses automaticaly for all devices.
This server host WEB on Apache 2.2 Web Server.
Server host FTP on FileZilla FTP Server.
Server works as MAIL Server on Mdaemon mail Server witch POP3/IMAP/SMTP/Web Access.
Server host SHOUTcast Internet Radio Station named ADRLAM on SHOUTcast Distributed Neywork Audio Server.
Server works as VPN Server and Remote Terminal.
Server Works as torrent station based on uTorrent downloading to NAS
2nd device is Lynksys WRT54GL Router
It use d as HUB/Switch and WiFi Access Point to be able to connect other devices on my Local Area Network .
3rd device is eTrayz NAS
Network Allocated Storage based on ARM Processor with 500Gb HDD in it for store data. NAS managed over WEB form or by connecting via SSH into linux based console.
On This NAS is aviable for installation many services.
It can be used as WEB Server, FTP Server, NFS Server, MAIL Server, Gallery Server, Online Shop, Photo Gallery, P2P & USENET, Torrent, IRC, Squeeze server, Print/Scanner Server, UPnP & DLNA, Web File Manager, Webcam Tools, etc.

4th device is Asus Eee PC 901
Intel Celeron 900MHz 512MB RAM 4GB Flash HDD
Running on Microsoft Windows XP SP3 it performs MP3 players role for SHOUTcast Radio Station ADRLAM.
On this NETTOP running WinAmp with Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP Plugin that streem MP3 tracks to SHOUTcast server on 1st device. All MP3 is played from network drive that is mapped from NAS eTrayz. On device works Last.fm Scrobbler to collect statistics of played tracks on this radio station.

5 th device is Edimax BR 6104K Router. It used as a switch to be able to connect other devices on my Local Area Network.
7 th device is NMT POPCORNHOUR A-100.
Networked Media Tank – Popcornhour A-100 multimedia player.
This is multimedia player that stands under the TV.
It connected to LAN and have 500GB HDD to store media data.
Also this multimedia player have many features to install.
One future that i love to use, it’s Network Mounter, little program that mount all shared disks and folders that are shared over my local area connection. Also it uses UPnP service, so I can play media from my smartphone via WiFi on player.
8 th device is AMIKO mini HD Sattelite reciever.
It is connected to local area network to be able to use internet for card sharing. And either in menu options on this reciever is option to watch videos from YouTube or other resource.
9 th device is Samsung Galaxy S3 mini
Smartphone GT-I8190 on Android 4.1.2
With this device I can manage files on network drives, copy and past any data over LAN. I can play multimedia via UPnP on my NMT POPCORNHOUR A-100. I can use Remote Desktop App to manage my Windows based devices. Also I can connect via SSH to my NAS.
I can setup torrent for downloading when I’am outside my home, and outside my LAN. Because on my server always working uTorrent and in smartphoe I have app, that manages uTorrent remotely. Also I can connect to my LAN using VPN Server and get access to all my devices and files even if I am on mobile connection or on friends WiFi. It such a good thing to use all tehnologies together and be a Geek it computer tehnician world.
My Digital Multimedia Home
1st Device is Asus Eee BOX B202 PC with Microsoft Windows Server 2003
It's small box PC, with dual Core CPU, 1Gb RAM and 160Gb SATA HDD.
This Server working as Main server in my home network and for internet services too.
This server provides routing for all my devices in local area network, it gives automaticaly ip addresses using DHCP Service for devices on my Local Area Network and provides internet Gateway.
All so this server using for WEB Hosting (WWW) on Apache Server, using as FTP server on Filezilla FTP Server, using as MAIL POP3/IMAP/SMTP Server on MDaemon Mail Server, Using as VPN and Remote server by Microsoft solution, streaming internet radio on Shoutcast Internet Radio Server, works as File server and running torrent client uTorrent to manages torrents.
I can connect anytime from anywhere over internet to any of running services on this server.
I have my own Digital Multimedia Home solution, builded on 100Mbit LAN.
My Digital Multimedia Home builded on 9 devices:
First box is NMT (NetworkMediaTank) PopcornHour A-100 built on Sigma Designs SMP8635 chipset and running Linux with built in services NFS/FTP/WEB/Torrent/Samba/UPnP wokring as main player, it plays video/audio files on my analog-retro TV and sounds using ORION Audio Tuner/Reciever sound system.
Second box is xTreamer Media Player built on Realtek 1283X Chipset with DTS sound system, it use 2.5" SATAII HDD's formfactor and can use WiFi Networks, play youtube and IPTV. It is running on Linux with built in FTP/NFS/SAMBA/Torrent/Web/UPnP and other services.
Third box in my digital multimedia home is eTrayz NAS (Network Allocated Storage) with 4Gb in total space as networked storage, it uses two 3.5" HDDs with 2Gb of max capacity each, and can store max of 4Gb total space for storing multimedia, arhives, backup files etc. Also NAS can work with RAID0 RAID1 or RAID5. I playing media files directly from my NAS using SAMBA, NFS or UPnP. eTrayz NAS builded on OXE810DSE processor running NSLU2-Linux with many Internet services and servers on it. It have User registration option with private protected quoted folders for users to store their downloads from eDownloader (rapidshare) or eTorrent (Torrents) or FTP or else. Administrator can manage users, quotas, folders, and administrate all NAS services and server functions via web or using SSH. NAS have built in services such as FTP, SAMBA, NFS, Torrent, WEB, UPNP, etc.; and many installable services and servers: web servers like joomla, php, myaql, perl, mail servers like Xmail, UPnP servers, DLNA servers, IRC servers, system tools and utillities etc. and moore.

Fives box is LinkSys WRT54GL it is WiFi AP, uses as hub to connects all cables together in one network, and provide wireless internet around home.
Sixs box is Edimax BR-6104K Router uses as HUB/SWITCH to connect all cables together.
Sevens box is Home PC Athlon 2000Mhz 1Gb RAM, 80Gb HDD running Windows XP. It used as Desktop PC.
Eights box is Asus EeePC 701 Nettop 900Mhz 512Mb RAM 4Gb HDD running Windows XP. It used as Nettop and for network serfing.
Nines box is my Smartphone HTC Desire with 1000Mhz 512Mb RAM 16Gb FLASH running Android 2.3.2 MIUI XJ 2.3.7 mod. Uses as main device to manage all other devices in my digital multimedia home. How I downloading movies: On my smartphone I open browser, open torrent site, choose movie, download .torrent file to smartphone, then i put .torrent file using Transdroid app to Asus EeePC BOX Win2003Server in uTorrent program, uTorrent starts downloading media data from this .torrent file to my eTrayz NAS file storage, when its ready i put remote cdontrol from NMT PopcornHour A-100 in my hand and start watching movie. Best thing that i can add to my media collection anything from everywhere using my smartphone. Also I can get any file stored on any device in my home network from anywhere if internet connection is present. Using my Smartphone I also may administrate Win2003Server, Mail Server and others. One more good thing that using my smartphone i can play videos, photos, or streamings from internet aka youtube streamings using smartphones app that able to play via UPnP or DLNA using wireless connection.
