Cover Letter for Floral Design position

Jamie Seymour Floral Department Manager Kroger 1801 S Voss Rd Houston, TX 77057
Dear Jamie Seymour,
I am currently studying Floral Design and Horticulture at Houston Community College, and I am interested in a position in your floral department. I am very passionate about my craft and hungry to learn on the job experience while also gaining more design knowledge. Please consider me to be a part of your team, because I am very confident I would bring a detailed eye and great customer service to your department and the whole store.
I have 4 years of management experience and 1 year working my way up to management. In my last position as an Information Systems Technician with the U.S. Navy, I was responsible for training new personnel, enforcing preventive maintenance plans for the division, managing help desk tickets, managing active directory accounts, maintaining inventory, and answering escalated help desk calls. My last project was creating and managing active directory accounts for over 3,000 new personnel aboard a six month deployment while providing connectivity and assuring backup of all data. This project resulted in mission readiness and allowed others aboard to complete their daily responsibilities. I am extremely impressed with Kroger's reputation and would be honored to join your team as I pursue my new career in floral design.
I have enclosed my resume and I look forward to a personal meeting during which time we can discuss your needs in greater detail.
