What is augmented reality?
Augmented reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data.

1968 - Ivan Sutherland, with the help of his student Bob Sproull, he created the first virtual reality and augmented reality head-mounted display system, named The Sword of Damocles.

1992 - In 1992, Louis Rosenberg developed one of the first known augmented reality systems, called Virtual Fixtures, while working at the U.S. Air Force Armstrong Labs, and published the first study of how an AR system can enhance human performance.
