SPIN AND REVIEW GAME
Create cards for each category using review concepts from the textbook. Take turns spinning the wheel and answering card questions. The team with the most correct answers at the end is the winner!
How To Play:
Students get into 6 groups and take turning spinning the wheel. Determine the playing order using the dice (highest number goes first).
Spin the wheel and take a card corresponding to that colour. Answer the questions on the cards. Correct answers get points.
If the team does not have the correct answer, another team has the opportunity to “steal” the answer. You can roll the dice to see which team has the opportunity to “Steal”.
There are 4 categories:
Unscramble the Sentence: students will be given a scrambled sentence. They must solve the sentence in a given amount of time. Write the scrambled sentence on a whiteboard and let students unscramble using the whiteboard. (1 minute – more if lower levelled students).
Translate: Teacher reads the sentence in Korean, and the student must translate into English. (1 minute)
Speed talking: Students must roll the dice to see which group they will compete against. Draw a card to determine the sentence you will say for the race. Give students a chance to practice the phrase, and then have them compete to see which team can say the sentence faster in a relay race.
Guess the picture: One person from the group is chosen to draw the card. The card will have a phrase or word on it and that student must draw the word on the board to let their team guess. The team has 1 minute to guess the phrase/word.
Printing Cards and Wheel
Print the cards out in colour on double sided option. Cards can be printed in black and white if colour is not an option.
Print the wheel in colour (or b&w) and use a push-pin and paper clip for the spinner. You can reinforce the paper with cardboard or by laminating.
