Political Leadership is constantly analyzing and evaluating voting trends among the many voting demographics in America. Demographics, affiliations and attitudes change almost daily. That is why what worked for one candidate two or four years ago, doesn’t work today. Political Leadership must understand these changes and adapt their message to these continuous transformations. More specifically, how religiously affiliated Americans are changing their political views which will in turn alter the political landscape of American politics.
The political leadership within the Democratic Party in the State of West Virginia has lost its influence causing a shift in the state’s political landscape; what role has religious beliefs contributed to that political change?
The purpose of this research is to understand the role of religion and religious beliefs in the State of West Virginia, so that Political Leadership can better understand the changing demographics of the voting public.
