Single Server Farm Provisions all services on the server for a single server deployment. This role is provided for evaluation and development purposes. Search Reserved for Search services. Application Services the backend jobs or the requests triggered by backend jobs, optimized for high throughput. Distributed Cache Services distributed cache for the farm. ActionRequiredby:April 12, 2017 at 5:59 PM UTC Details: As we communicated, in April 2016, via MC45036, we will be removing the Windows Azure Active Directory Synchronization feature from Office 365, beginning April 13, 2017. Azure Active Directory (AD) Connect is the best way to connect your on-premises directory with Azure AD and Office 365. Azure AD Connect is replacing DirSync and Azure AD Sync and these two older sync engines were deprecated from April 13, 2016, reaching end of support April 13, 2017. You are receiving this message because you are using DirSync, Azure AD Sync, or an Azure AD Connect installation released before 2016. After April 13, 2017, you will no longer be able to open a support case without first upgrading to Azure AD Connect. Before September 1, 2017, customers should make a backup copy of all their public website content, images, pages, and files, so they don’t lose them permanently. • On March 31, 2018, Microsoft will delete all public sites that have been postponed. Relay on Office365 SharePoint Online Public Websites are going away Action Required by: September 30, 2017 at 5:59 PM UTC Details: The usage reports in the admin center enable admins to understand usage of the various services within Office 365. Today we are announcing the public preview of the Microsoft Graph reporting APIs that enables you to retrieve the usage data programmatically. Using this API, you can retrieve the data available in the usage reports including organization level summaries per service as well as entity level (user, sites, accounts) detail usage information for different reporting periods of last 7/30/90/180 days. With this announcement, we’re also providing notice to the removal of the following existing APIs available within the Office365 Reporting Web Service: ConnectionbyClientType, ConnectionbyClientTypeDetail, CsActiveUser, CsAVConferenceTime, CsP2PAVTime, CsConference, CsP2PSession, GroupActivity, MailboxActivity, MailboxUsage, MailboxUsageDetail, StaleMailbox, StaleMailboxDetail. We will be removing these APIs on October 1, 2017. Any user with global admin or product admin rights (Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint) can retrieve data through these APIs. When we remove the existing API’s, on October 1, your apps may be impacted. Please try out the new Microsoft Graph reporting APIs and submit feature requests by asking or voting on an idea on UserVoice. Please submit questions by posting them on Stack Overflow and tagging them with ‘microsoftgraph’. If you are currently using APIs from the Office 365 Reporting Web Service that are going to be replaced by the new API’s, you should start planning the migration of any subsystems within your organization. Message Center: MC97665 – New Feature: Public Preview of Microsoft Graph Reporting APIs Posted: March 31, 2017 Relay on Office365 Public Preview of Microsoft Graph Reporting APIs Relay on Office365 The Site Mailbox is going away in SharePoint Online Announcement done: January 2017 Execution: March 2017 RPC over HTTP in Office 365 Announcement done: January 2017 Execution: Oct 2017 Updating the Access Services in SharePoint Roadmap Announcement done: April 2017 Execution: June 2017 Alternative Fact: Make SharePoint great again! • Microsoft Planner users can assign more than just one user to a task in Planner • you can assign it to up to 11 people • Every user that is assigned the task will see it on their My Tasks page. • Still no outlook integration trough. Assigning multiple users to a task is now possible in Microsoft Planner Traditionally, employees looking for specific information had to manually connect the dots between people and units of knowledge. By tapping into the Office 365 graph and machine learning, the new Office 365 profile card can identify information relevant to you based on the person you’re looking up. This can help you quickly look up documents that have been shared with you, independent of how they were sent. Introducing the new Office 365 profile experience -INTELLIGENT We’re also working to help employees connect with people across the organization that they don’t traditionally interact with. The new Organization view shows a complete picture of the highlighted user’s position in the company, including their direct reports and co-workers. Office 365 will also surface other people relevant to the person you are looking up based on their working habits and communication. Introducing the new Office 365 profile experience -HOLISTIC Intelligent We’re integrating the new profile card everywhere you see a person’s name—but it’s important that the experience doesn’t interrupt your productivity. We’ve made it easy for users to achieve these tasks with as little interruption to their workflow as possible. Hovering over a name provides a quick look at their most important attributes, such as contact details, recent documents and manager. More details are only a click away with the extended flex pane that displays additional information without navigating from the page.
