2017 Scholarship Applicants Instructions
Deadline: All applications must be received by April by 21, 2017.
Please read the criteria listed for each scholarship listed below to determine which scholarship(s) you wish to apply for. Selected candidates will only receive one of the scholarships.
Mother Theresa E. Bolden Centennial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to an individual who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts/Education.
Applicant must be:
An active member of COGIC Eastern Missouri First Jurisdiction
Attending a college/university/technical school full-time in the fall as well as those already enrolled and attending full time in an accredited college/university/technical school pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree
Have a minimum Grade Point Average ( GPA) of 2.5
Show proof of leadership roles in church, school, and the community
Have at least 2 letters of recommendations from your pastor/designee and from counselor, instructor, or other individuals that are not related to you
Bishop Robert J. Ward Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to an individual who, despite struggles in life, was able to graduate from college and is pursuing a graduate degree.
Graduate and/or doctoral degree student taking a minimum of 9 credit hours
Have a minimum Grade Point Average ( GPA) of 3.0
Have at least 2 letters of recommendations from your pastor/designee and from advisor, instructor, or other individuals that are not related to you
Ida Goodwin Woolfolk Community Service Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to an individual who has shown exceptional leadership in the community and is pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in.
Display active role in community-politically, civically, and ecumenically
Attending a college/university full-time in the fall as well as those already enrolled and attending full time in an accredited college/university school pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree
Have at least 3 letters of recommendations from your community leader, church affiliate, and from counselor, advisor, instructor or other individuals that are not related to you
