Faka pump station located in Naples, FL. Had to run 6’carbon steel piping to 6 Detroit engines located through out pump station for the sole purpose of filtering water back into the Florida Everglades. Had to have knowledge of blueprint reading and capable of coming up with formulas for specs and dimension. Flange setting an offsets. 6’ to small bore 1’1/2 pipe.

Had to read pipe drawings and calculate pipe requirements through the effective use of standard pipe formulas, work on stainless steel methanol tank for supply ships. Sub-contracted with Carolina Construction for plumbing, to construct several daycare facilities on board military installation. Task include read blueprints, place pre-fabricated pipe in destine areas then connect to main trunk line for drain systems; put in floor drains, vents and run lavatories.
Worked on several renovation projects.

Performed underground drain system, and ran/layed cast iron 4”- 8” hub and no hub pipe. Cut cast iron to put in ground on a 1/8” grade. Read blueprints or drawings that show the planned location of pipes, plumbing fixtures, and appliances. Used unistruts and threaded rod to hang pipe from ceiling and difficult areas. Have experience with outside K- green copper which I had to clean, bevel and braze together, then insulate and wrap for burial. Prior experience includes working with sprinkler system, which I had to use Northern Industrial 4” electric pipe threader, which was standard for us to use black iron for emergency sprinkler system. Installed test gauges, in order to test water pressure at 125 psi. The tools I have experience using to perform my job: Manual Rigid ratchet threader, Screw type flaring, tampering machine, oxygen and saline gas cutting torch. Some experience with stick welding. Map gas, soldering, brazing/silver soldering, backhoe operator, pressure gauges and test bulbs, plum bobs, air compressors, generators, Dewalt chop saw for cutting cast iron pipes. Inspect areas for obstructions such as electrical wiring and if necessary, to plan the pipe installation around the problem proper operations and functions of piping systems. Familiar with piping materials, sizes, fittings and measurements to thread pipe and sweat copper. Maintain and repair plumbing systems.

Responsible for the repairs, and maintenance of various shipboard heating and cooling systems. Involved a variety of metal and non-metal piping for new system installations of high and low pressure pipe systems on board steam turbine ships. Had to layout, fabricate, fit, install, burn/oxygen and saline (torch) and read blueprints. Knowledge of silver brazing and shop fabrication, able to read standard tape measure and metric tape.
