IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Alexander Roosburg
August 22 1930 to January 28 2016
George was a humble man, good natured, good hearted and a loving husband, father and friend. Few people understood his sentimental nature - this man who was born in St. Eustatius, in the Netherland Antilles, was a proud son of Curlena Morgan, a fine budding boxer in his teen-aged years (Lefty) and an avid sports fan, preferring baseball and boxing to all others.
George worked alongside many colleagues at the Long Island Railroad for up to twenty-five years. He was a hard worker and a trusted employee - always giving 100% to his vocation. He is survived by his wife, Jacinth, sons, George-Anthony and Davis, three grandchildren, Anisa, Damar and Rey Anthony, his daughter-in-law Sonya, and two great grandchildren, Cleopatra and Pharaoh.
He enjoyed dancing, a spirited game of dominoes and eloquent discussion on political events of the day and, to top it off, listening to Latin and Caribbean music. Now, he has re-retired to serve an even higher calling next to his creator. Rest assured that not unlike his earthly job he will strive to do the very best that can be achieved -- and succeed he shall.
