Office 365 migration:
Opened Office 365 E3 corporate account modified DNS setting changes on hosting account by adding correct CNAME, TXT and MX records from O365 settings page, including Lync.(Skype) Verified DNS record change. Exported all users PST (non-exchange site) to NAS. Exported all user email addresses from web hosting email accounts to CSV. Cleaned data and imported to Office 365 via the import users feature built into O365. Specification required no AD integration.
Logged into Office 365 as administrator and purchased O365 licenses per requirement. Assigned each user a license and chose applications and access per specifications.
Imported user PST’s and tested user accounts by logging in and verifying.
Advised all users that a synchronization period would occur that would limit user experience for a couple of hours while PST converted to OST.
