March 15th was the final test day to see the progression and the athletic ability m brother has gained from my guidance in the past few months. For two hours I tested my brother on the basic exercise's that he had been doing he past months, I was extremely surprised by the results. His squat weight wen up from 110 lbs. for 12 reps to 180 lbs. for 12 reps, bench incline went from 85 lbs. for 12 reps to 130 lbs. for 12 reps, and his Row wen from 70 lbs. for 12 reps to 120 lbs. for 12 reps. This amount of progress in such a short period of time is incredible and can only be achieved with a rigorous routine. The final step was to see how his pushups improved to test for muscular endurance, What I saw shocked me. My brother had gone from only being able to do 14 push ups in one go to being able to do 46 in a row.
My brother is being tested by me and I make sure he does the pushups correctly. The amount of effort he puts in to his pushups make me feel like I've succeeded in training him.

After the muscular test, it was time for the cardio test. The final test for cardio was a ride on the stationary bike at a medium difficulty and then hardest difficulty for the last twenty minutes of the hour. My brother was always good at cardio but the improvement was not lost on me in this situation. Before, the hardest difficulty was something he could simply not do but now due to my training regimen he could do it with ease. Finally, the last test was to see the amount of weight lost since we started and he went from 189- 168 lbs. Although this number is impressive it looks like he lost closer to 25 lbs., however this is because he also gained muscle which weighs more than fat.
This shows me coaching my brother through the end of cardio. His anticipation for it to end was not lost on me but he kept going.

Finally, the last thing I had to do before concluding this study was to put down the weekly information in my senior project notebook. This notebook was used to copy down weekly progress and a basic day of eating for that week with calories and Macronutrients. Putting the final log in was satisfying as well as sad to have such an interesting experience come to a close. I enjoyed talking to my project facilitator Trevor, about new workouts that I've never known and he helped me broaden my horizons and showed me that I still have much to learn if I'm going to make it in the fitness industry.
This is an image of my notebook that has months worth of progress recorded. Filling it out one last time almost brought a tear to my eye.
