Senior project Facilitator log 1
By: Dakota Duska
The total amount of hours spent with facilitator was five hours.
THURSDAY JANUARY 19TH 4:00- 5:30
Mr. Levy first showed my brother and I the ring chest press. This workout is designed to break down muscle in the chest area as well as cause a stretch in the shoulder and chest area to make the muscle more flexible. The exercise is also used to help gym goers break their rut in muscle stalling and help it grow again due to how it attacks the muscle in a different way than the average bench press.
My brother tries out the chest ring press for the first time.My brother did sets of 10 reps for an hour and a half until he was exhausted
Thursday, January 19th 5:30- 7:00
My brother Gunnar is trying out the ring pullback. My project facilitator is showing him how the exercise is done.
The ring chest press tired my brother out after doing it for an hour and a half so my facilitator decided it was time to change up the muscle groups. The next workout was the ring pullback. The ring pullback is similar to the chest pullback however instead of pushing the rings forward. The rings are pulled back until the arms reach a 90 degree angle, this works out the back muscles.
I was tired of watching my brother workout so I decided to work in. The workout was harder than I thought but I finished.
Thursday, January 19th 7:00- 9:00
The weight lifting part of the workout was over, however the cardio at the end of the workout still remained. The cardio chosen was slow burpees which took place over two hours to slowly burn fat but still be doable to not ware out my brother. The burpees were done by my brother getting in a push up position, then putting his legs under him and finally jumping into the air as high as he can. This workout was the hardest my brother has ever finished. Although my brother has been losing weight even I was surprised on how much he could do in this workout.
My brother is about to jump up as the last part of the burpee. My facilitator Mr. Levy is on the right showing my brother how the workout is done.
