A good role model is someone whose work performance is desirable and considered superior to other employees, consistently applied, congruent with the organization’s values and desired behavior. An employee can be considered a role model if he/she influenced the workplace by their high performance, good communication skills and contagious enthusiasm.
A good leader is not only someone who holds the title but somebody who earned respect by consistently demonstrating personal qualities of leadership like having uncompromising integrity and good work ethics and inspiring others in being the same , a good leader is somebody who’s committed and dedicated hard worker , who come to work on time and brief the team on tasks that needs to be done without rushing and being stressed about it , he is someone who got high energy and who is actually present and not locked away in some office , a good leader is always giving helping hand , encouraging others and help them grow and succeed. A good leader is someone who is able to draw a good work plan to achieve objectives and also good at working priorities when lots of things needs to be done.
I can be a leader who is admired and emulated by others if I show credibility and have a positive attitude towards work and be consistent about it. I can be a role model when I have great organizations skills which results in job efficiency that inspire people to act the same. I can show good leadership by being communicative and diplomatic but in the same time courageous to say what I think. A good leader needs to demonstrate what should be done and how it should be done to achieve organizational objectives. He/she needs to know the organization that he/she works for, its overall purpose and goals, the strategies to achieve these goals and how his/her team fits in the big picture.
A good leader should be seen and be seen to be interested in building relationships with employees, delegate effectively and should know the values and goals of each individual as well what they need from their leader. Traits of a good leader involves showing interest in what members of the team does, the problems they have to deal with and always giving feedback and most importantly acknowledging the good work that people do.

I can ensure that I meet my job responsibilities by overcoming time wastage by setting realistic goals, planning and prioritizing tasks/objectives in terms of usable results-purpose. Ensuring that I meet my job responsibilities will also involve good management skills as in time management and managing papers and paper work, effective time management involves arranging set times for jobs, fix definite times when I would like not to be disturbed and plan my telephone calls .I can ensure that I meet my job responsibilities by avoiding stress which can happen when the workloads has become too much and I can’t cope any more, to avoid work pressure I can delegate effectively and learn to say “no”, I can also leave the office at lunch time and avoid being a perfectionist .I can meet my job responsibilities by taking appropriate action ;do the job as it should be done ,be flexible in my time plan and expect the unexpected . Measuring personal performance implies developing criteria against which my performance can be mapped and evaluated.
These criteria might relate to job description, self-assessment of qualifications and skills to detect areas in need of improvement. It might relate also to team goals and whether they are on the right track and whether the tasks appointed to achieve these goals are getting the results anticipated.
I can measure and maintain my personal performance by continuously self-assessing, check if my performance fit the standards and recognize areas in need of improvement .I can ask for feedbacks, from colleagues, managers and other stakeholders, those feedbacks can help to maintain my performance ,in varying work conditions ,work contexts and contingencies .

Prioritizing work is about being well organized and time management, I can prioritize work by ensuring that the time available to me is being spent on the most essential activities; plan my work so the most important tasks are completed first, I can allocate my tasks into appropriate categories, write the required activities onto a “to do list” in a numbered order of importance. I need to plan in a way that necessary tasks are not being neglected by identifying urgent vs important ,a good way to prioritize key tasks is to complete a ‘priority graph’ on a daily basis.

I can use technology to organize and manage my work by utilizing in a way that can aid time management and keeping up with a busy schedule, Computer and computer assisted software can be used to help me plan, schedule and monitor work. When time is essence, Communication technology like email, teleconferencing or video conferencing can help, so instead of wasting time by traveling, these technologies can help me transfer and discuss plans and information with interested parties’ .Electronic to do lists and electronic calendars can help me in planning and keeping track of the things that I need to do.
Technological applications can help me save time taken to file and store paper-based documentation, access to filed information. Technology offers better communication between divisions and individuals in the organization and work will run more smoothly.
How can I ensure that I maintain a work/life balance?
I maintain the balance by ensuring that I get a meaningful daily achievement and enjoyment in each of the four life quadrants: work, family, friends and self. Clear goal setting and being good at prioritizing, daily reviewing of my work plan and flexibility will help to better control of what I am doing and consequently avoid tension and too much stress.
There are things that I can do when the pressure of work is affecting my personal life or vice versa, I can choose from any option that can be available to me in my workplace like flexible work hours, working from home, part-time or leave without a pay.
Managing stress is one of the things to achieve work/life balance. First I need to know the difference between positive stress that give me stimulation to perform at my best and a destructive stress that can affect me mentally and physically, when I acknowledge that I am stressed beyond normal, I need to act on it by doing things that can help like relaxing activities, physical exercises, I can get better sleep or take time-out.
