GCSE Art Photoshop task – Adding text
Open Adobe Photoshop
Open your Image
Select the Type Tool from the Tool bar on the left
Click into your image where you want the text to start and start typing. You can change Font/ size/ colour etc in the menu bar along the top.

you can make your text warped by clicking here and selecting from the ‘Style’ drop down menu
Whilst typing - if you want to move the text to a different position press the Control key (Ctrl) on the keyboard and drag the Type layer to a new position.
- if you want to resize the text press Ctrl on the keyboard and drag out from one of the corners.
The type layer is editable just like any other layer in photoshop . Try out the styles palette on the right hand side. Or add a layer style by clicking fx at the bottom of the layers palette and take your pick!
Save your work in the K drive K / Art. Either as .psd (photoshop file) so you can continue to work on it, or as .jpeg if it is ready to print.
