Also can be the masterpieces that the adults study in.
How to create a excellent plane is the question that we need to involve.
It should fly far,stable,and stay in the sky for a long.
Let's go and explore.
The Principle of Paper Plane
The aerodynamics of the plane will need to
have little drag and be light enough to defy
gravity. Paper airplanes also use
the forces of lift and thrust. When these
four forces are used in balance, paper
airplanes will fly longer.
The paper plane should fly farther than 50 ft. from the point of reference. So the best paper(materials),structure are the things that we need to figure out.
It should be strong and good looking, and finished to a high standard. Also we need to combine some ideas and solutions to our final design to make it better.
MAKE IT CAN FLY FAR,STABLE,AND STAY IN THE SKY FOR A LONG TIME.
Some ideas relating the problem
1.The head of the planes sho uld be heavier and it could as heavy as the tail of the plane.Because the heavy head can help the paper plane be more stable and stop it from whirling in the flying process.But if it became to o heav ier , it can not fly very far.
2.The center of gravity of the plane should in the front to help being stable.
3. The plane should be symmetrical.Because symmetry can keep the balance of the paper plane .
4. The upside and downside’s pattern of the airfoil are different. So during the same time, the air on the upside flow more than the downside, and the air on the upside flows quickly than the air on the downside. So the upside of the airfoil should be curved and the downside of the airfoil should be straight.
5 . The angles of the airfoil should go up, it seems like a letter Y when you see it .
6 . The cusp of the airfoil should be small, because it can decrease the resistance in the air.
At the first time we search “ how to make paper plane” in the Internet .
T hen we find and design 5 different paper planes.

The Plane We Chose
It can stay in the sky very long and can fly very far.
But the question was:
The plane is very light
Still Rotate in the flying process
The airfoil is big but the body is small,which cause the displacement it flied can be short
According some ideas that mentioned before.
We decide to make the head of the plane more heavier.
SO Foil the head inside the plane.
This can make it more stable,and do not have to rotate and fly upwards so much.
And it influence the weight little,so it can still keep a long flying process like before.
And then, We Changed the scale.
We found that bigger plane can fly far more because it become heavier and it have bigger airfoil. And it can became more stable and it would hardly rotate in the sky.
Then we try to figure out what is the best meterial to make the paper plane.We found that Sketch Paper is very hard and strong,and it can hold the wind and make it bigger and stable.
So the plane is more stable and strong.Also it can decrease the resistance of the air.Also it very hard and heavier than before.So it is very stable during the flying process.
More hard,can be more stable.
Hold more wind.
To make the structure more stable and strong.

During the working time, I understand much knowledge about the plane, how the plane can fly farther or the construction of the plane. In addition, time management is important too, or the time will be late.
To be creative about a science project is very difficult if you do not have so much knowledge about this field.Try you best to widen your horizon.
In this project,I learned that if you want to do a god job,you have better do with your friends 。And think more and do more.
This time I made a paper plane, so I got a lot of knowledge, I understand the paper plane flight principle, as well as paper aircraft production methods.
