Is false hope better than no hope at all?
By Carter Punt and Kevin Nguyen
What is false hope?
To look forward to something that has a strong chance of not happening and you may or may not know it.
Ex: I'm constantly given false hope when people say me and my ex will get back together.
Ex: when connor knows his mom isn’t getting better but he still believes strongly that she is.
Positives of false hope .
false hope is used to keep people pushing forward.
People who lose all hope use it to believe in something again.
better than losing all hope.
Negatives of false hope.
Can set you up for dissapointment.
It gives you unrealistic expectations.
Has no chance of happening.
No hope and false hope.
No hope is just giving up not having hope can lead to Depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts.
People who give up on hope are normally ones who are going through tough times in their lives so it seems like there is no hope.
False hope is what counters no hope. People who have givin up on hope will sometimes believe in something that will most likley not happen, but it gives them hope and hope is all people need sometimes
Although false hope has its downsides, I still believe that it gives people something to believe in when the times are tough. It seems better to make something up to look forward to then have to give up on everything and just be sad
Yes, false hope is better than no hope at all.
Hope you enjoyed!
