Perception is the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses.
Being able to use perception through critical thinking is a great way to use some of your senses to find an answer to something or someone.
All five senses impact perception because there are signals that are sent to the brain, and each sense affects how we react to the world..
What is perception?
a way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something.
Our Five Senses: Sight & Touch
Touching someone gives them the sense of feeling towards an individual or an object.
Being able to see allows you to manage and observe (someone or something).
Our Five Senses: Smell & Taste
Every human has different taste buds and it allows us to taste certain food, drinks and even snacks to see if we like it or not.
It allows us to smell certain odors such as perfume, lotion, food, etc.
Since sound is vibrations propagating through a medium such as air, the detection of these vibrations, that is the sense of the hearing, is a mechanical sense because these vibrations are mechanically conducted from the eardrum(Hertz,2015).
How does Perception affect critical thinking?
Perception affects critical thinking because it interferes with one's thoughts.

During this slide I will be discussing what the three main issues of what perception is. Perception is the ability to become aware of something through your five senses.
The definition of perception is provided here and also I'll provide the source used.
A couple of the five senses we use daily is sight and touch. Having sight allows us to view the world all at once, and touch allows us to feel others and objects. Being ableto see and feel things gives a human an advantage to basically do anything in the world.
Also, having our five senses allows us to smell certain things or objects, and being able to taste let us know what foods or sweets we like to enjoy. These senses allows us to recognize certain smells and sometimes certain tastes.
Lastly, the last of the five senses is hearing!Hearing allows us to listen to others, hear music, other individuals, movies and even alarm clocks for school. Being able to hear things allows us to be more aware of our surroundings.
Perception and critical thinking go hand in hand. Perception affects critical thinking because critical thinking is based on long thoughts and difficult situations and perception is based on thoughts.
