I have worked in an IT environment for eight (8) years:
Server Management – Windows, Linux, OS X Server
I’ve worked in the web sphere for six (6) years:

I’ve made websites named: Wholesale-Real-Estate-Youngstown-Investments.com
Had them ranked in Google within four (4) hours
I know people want things that just work, but that conflicts with security, functionality, and life
I’ve known people who do best and worst practices and the classic pitfalls they happily fall into
I understand the differences, goals, hurdles and budgets of the organizational sectors
As a marketer, I know what is best practice, worst practice, and what works in general

Why I like Genesis:
Questions, comments, concerns?
My purpose is tri-fold:
Show developers/designers the process of how and why people get stuck wanting cheap things
Show an example of a cheap Wordpress theme
Help build understanding of the basic Constructs and how it relates to Frameworks
Talk about frameworks
How to adjust a framework to your needs
I mention the Grey Hat thing because most marketing on the web today is a Grey Hat mix and it typically is of low value
Because of my background
What I mean by low value
People don’t understand the GPL, Gnu, or what “Free” really means.
Legitimately, people want this, but it doesn’t exactly work out this way.
Non intuitive plugins, confusing even for logo, page builder plugin?
These are where you will see the most variation, with everyone putting tons of emphasis on the front page without looking at the proper functionality. Which means, in reality, although someone is trying to avoid a designer or paying a designer, they are 100% dependent on a Designer to have made things well. So in the end, a Wordpress framework is the end part of a journey for many people
Typically these frameworks give you much more control over your front page design and if you know a little bit of CSS, you can make it look like you want it too, without having to hack the whole backend of a website.

Things you want to watch out for:
Updates – Framework
Lack of Support - headway
Marketing is more important than a Product – Long form vs short form + bounce rates - Headway
