You have 43 seconds to:
1. Get into a group of 4 (not 3, not 5). - If there is an odd person out, come see me.
2. Get out a pen/pencil and a ½ sheet of paper.
3. Write your name on the ½ sheet.
There are 4 sections to your article, each member will read one section
After reading one section, each member will "Say Something" from the Say Something! Handout.
During each round, you will write down one contribution made by one member. By the end, you will have one contribution made by each member (4 rounds, 4 members).
After finishing the activity, flip your half sheet over and rate your group members' performance on a 1-4 scale (1= little work, 4 = carried the team). Remember, I will be walking around observing, don't lie.

We are going to read as a class, but you will stay in your groups.
Each group will be responsible for keeping track of a theme.
As we read, use sticky notes to mark down pages where you see your theme.
Take a few minutes with your group members to discuss which panels you marked that displayed your theme.
Write down 1-2 instances in your flip chart.
We will share as a class, REMEMBER, we don't take notes verbatim, we paraphrase (main ideas only!)
Complete the final section on your worksheet.
Make sure your NAME IS ON YOUR WORKSHEET.
